Nuss has slow played this up until now. Waited his turn, got the gig and had strong 1st year showing but has much more room to grow. I believe he will be back. He’s played it smart I doubt he bolts especially since he knows he can command more NIL in his position now being needed.

If Nuss goes I am confident we drop like half of underwood’s bag on the top portal QB. Or maybe just top returning QB lol.

In the past we have had decent success with quarterbacks out of the transfer portal…you should look it up.

Were you counting on Underwood to be an effective starter in 2025? Really?

We’ll pay every bit of $1.5M on a portal QB. Maybe more. Would imagine Nuss will command $2M.

Yeah, Joe Burrow really screwed us by running off Narcisse and McMillan too.

And so did Jayden Daniels, by running off Walker Howard.

If Nuss leaves then I'd be okay with throwing a bag at Salter in the portal. Would probably keep Daniels in that case too.

My .02 is that because his dad is a former NFL QB, he’ll see the importance of playing time and development that he can get with another year in college vs. carrying a clipboard at the. NFL level.

While Nuss looks like he has an NFL arm, he’s still got a ways to go and doesn’t have the look of a first year starter.

While there always the chance he comes back next year and either gets injured or teams get more bad film on him, I think the chance are greater that by coming back he can solidify himself as a first rounder.

"solidify" implies he is already a 1st rounder...he is not. I would say more like a 3rd rounder. He has assets like his arm and accuracy when given ample time to throw. But he has 2 liabilities...one he can improve on, the other will always be there. 1) he needs to speed up his decision making/scan the field faster. Daniels had exactly the same problem his first year at LSU and can be fixed 2) he is not a statue but is not as mobile as most college QBs and certainly doesn't run enough to get easy yardage when he can. Unless he gets faster and/or shiftier, that is going to remain an issue. As everyone should know, the NFL has shifted towards the "dual threat" type QBs or at least very mobile "pro style". GN is neither at this point in time.

They’re likely both headed to Auburn to reunite with Freeze. Salter went 12/35 in his last game. Not sure what was going on there. Didn’t throw it much in November before that game.

Man, I think you got this dead right. Just like Burrow and Daniels, the game should slow down for Nuss with more experience. And it is better to get that experience in college, because the pros have short fuses. It doesn’t slow down for everyone. Derek Carr is a good example of an extremely talented guy who seems to spend a lot of time with his mind behind the clock.
