Don’t have any use for Temple. Hopefully Kelly keeps he and those around the LSU program like him at arms length.

Or, if you prefer, we can leave the third party (Iota) out of the discussion. Instead we can discuss your personal opinion on why I am wrong. Or We can discuss why you think the third party might have a point. We can go any direction you'd like and discuss any issue you have with anything anyone in this thread has said for that matter.

People who see race and color are the real racist. I'm sticking with MLK's philosophy.

That wasn’t MLK’s philosophy. He was aspirational on content of character, but he didn’t deny reality to get there.

One thing that can always be counted on 100% of the time is that Collis is going to be a racist.

there’s something about a hand up and not a hand out.. YET OUR GOVERNMENT continues to keep the black communities down. Put a limit on welfare to 2 kids no matter what and use that money to educate online if needed and help people get out of poverty. You don’t need a college degree to earn a good salary. What you can’t do is drugs, lie, steal and miss work.

This is the problem. You know there is racism in BR. You see it and you know it exist. Then when someone speaks of it they are labeled as a race baiter. You would rather it not be spoken on and we all go about our lives pretending.

Riddle me this: What does racism in BR have to do with Brian Kelly’s contract, and why is a BOS member who voted to approve that contract undermining the university in front of the national media?

I don’t think it exists in any significant amount.

What racism are you referring to. If anything, White Baton Rouge is very tolerant of black Baton Rouge and the corresponding crime and blight.

What’s going to happen with all the NIL crap;
It is going to create jealousy within teams; thus it will eventually effect the team as a whole. That’s were the great coaches take at advantage by recruiting really good athletes who are also smart and team players creating the chemistry that is needed to win championships. This will eventually create controversy as well, but not necessarily for the teams who are winning. Your damned if you do and dames if you don’t.

@Chicken

Can we delete this thread? It's spinning into something that it shouldn't be.

I don't need your help. And I'm not blaming anyone. I'm stating that the notion that Mr. Temple is calling out something that is taboo is questionable on anyone that wishes to ignore the obvious. Just call it what it is.

It does not matter that the "entire power structure of BR is run by black ppl". Ff true, in yet they are still confronted by the behavior and actions of those that do and say questionable things.

Did we not just witness a judge and her family showing how they really see black ppl. I could site other examples of this sort of thing, but I'd like to remain on topic.

You’re right, but not in the way you think.

You’re reading a lot in to that. It was a stupid article. Could write it about any midsize corporate CEO in America.

To me, it’s another example of the disenfranchised and uninformed. They take no accountability and blame without understanding how anything even works.

Terrible example of reporting by what should be a reputable paper.

I’m sure he set them up with this guy, but what pull do you think Temple has at Washington Post? They were gonna find someone to right the hit piece about.

He's on the BOS due to one reason only: JBE.

As a BOS member he has a responsibility to protect LSU. If he was involved in the hit piece it’s grounds for removal.
