CT had nothing to do with the hiring of Kelly, Mulky, or Johnson, let alone oversee their hires as claimed here. Woodward & Tate were the main players, by far, with some feedback by a few, select BOS members. CT's power days, such as they have been, are long time ago in the past. His slum lord days, ongoing, have had more significant effects on the poverty level in the black community. He's on the BOS due to one reason only: JBE.

Mikel, I lived in one of those grad housings. Foreign grad students have to pay full fee and work all night to make ends meet.
If we do get GA scholarship, we worked our butt off. We are grateful for those RA, TA and GA scholarships. We get fee waived and get stipend.
If this article is about Grad students, he has no idea how grad students and pay structure works in academics.
We were grateful and happy to be in US.

You do know that black people can be racist to right? There’s racism all over the world. However most people aren’t racist and don’t judge people by the color of one’s skin. And you, Sir, should examine your own approach to this discussion, before dismissively rejecting the entirety of your opponent’s arguments. If you want to engage in a “ “real conversation b/w adults”, consider actually addressing the specifics of the opposing argument that you consider deficient. Not saying I agree with him, but your approach is no better, yet you try hectoring him for failing to engage in principled argument. You are doing the same.

I will defend CT3 and Garrett. I've known them both since I was at LSU. While I do question some of their dealings with Primerica, neither of them has ever made me feel judged by them. Collis, III is always borderline excited to see me and will find me in a crowd to say hello. I am not some influential person who he is being cordial to in hopes of influencing. I'm just a guy that met him at LSU through a mutual friend.
