Collis might have been behind it but the great Kevin Faulk has been telling everyone within ear range that BK is a racist etc etc. I’ve confirmed with several coaches that this is complete horse shite. KF is completely mad about being let go and it’s pure sour grapes.

I wonder what Kevin specifically said about Kelly. He never seemed like the type of guy that would put out any baseless stuff.

But that is what many are good it. When there is no consequences for bad behavior, there is no positive.

Do you personally know Faulk?

If not, then you don’t know what kind of guy he is.

Everyone in power in BR is black. Given this fact I assume you saying black people are racist against whites in BR.

Crazy how many people defended him on here just because he was a great player.

Love kevin faulk as a player but he was a shitty coach. On top of that he passed on some very good running backs.

Anyone ever read what Albert Einstein had to say about black people? Though some of it may be true, is he a Racist for stating what (he believes) is a fact.?

The fact you feel the way you do is THE PROBLEM.

We can agree to disagree. A HC makes millions and the faculty reaching more students and shaping more lives makes less is the problem with this world. Orgeron was fired for doing what the AD apparently thought was a shitty job and he's still owed more than the university faculty's combined salary. SMH.

But hey, we all prioritize issues differently. I understand why so many have issue with the article. While many are prioritizing a damn football program as being more important than uplifting the surrounding community is beyond me.

The reply above said the surrounding community just steals from and kills university students. Well if you cleaned up the community, that would address that issue. But hey, carry on. I don't live there so it doesn't affect me.

This would be much too long of a conversation and not worth it on your part or mine. Carry on.

2 things:

1. It’s not LSU’s job to fix Baton Rouge
2. LSU is one of the very few draws of Baton Rouge

3. The university can spend the $95,000,000 given to them by TAF to “uplift the community”

Because this is a false comparison. The money is created by football it’s not paid to the coach in lieu of helping the community without football that money doesn’t exist.

Next do the math, a quick Google search tells me there are 57000 people in Baton Rouge that live below the poverty line. If Kelly makes $10M/year that would be $175 per person, that’s not getting anyone out of poverty

If the pandering to the certain side would stop, the discussion of racism would stop. Tearing down statues and constantly bringing up racism won’t get a black coach hired. Hell if he was the best person for the job, I wouldn’t care if he was green with purple feet. You don’t like it, go cheer for Southern. Their coach is black.

No, they can’t for one thing they weren’t given $95M that’s the total compensation over 10 years.

What are some specifics you envision LSU should do for "the surrounding community?" And by "LSU" just who do you have in mind?

yet the professors are near the bottom of the SEC in salaries

When 100k people and TV networks pay millions to see a stuident take a test the profs see their pay raised. No one is paying $100 to see a chemistry exam.

That’s not what TAF is for. That’s not what the money was donated for. They can’t just spend it on random shite like that without incurring legal issues.

That hurts to hear. I mean, what evidence is there that CBK is a racist? He's been around a while and I've never heard anyone accuse him of that before.

And one can hardly overstate how much Kevin Faulk means to LSU. Came here when we had 6 straight losing seasons when he could have gone anywhere (and when most of LA's top players were going elsewhere).

And he stayed his senior season when he could have gone pro.

Hope LSU can mend things with him. The guy means too much to LSU.

What? You mean LSU can’t pour millions of dollars into uplifting the community? What the hell are they for?

To be a university not a welfare program. If they took the money for Kelly and gave it away in the community what do they do when that money is gone? If you could cure poverty with $95M it would have been cured a long time ago because we’ve spent trillions over on he years
