I didn't mind Chavis, but this is an indication of the disrespect for Les, LSU, and his players - I think we can all find agreement on that.

Exactly. ND won TOP like 37min to 23min.

The defense looked impotent.

Says a lot about both coaches. No loyalty or moral compass.

I can agree with that.

I am not a fan of this "well, let's just put the entire loss on Chavis and trash the shite out of him because it was okay to like him until the end of the game but we really hate him now and he sucks and he and he alone is to blame for all our issues."

What's the excuse for Miles and Cam ? What distracted them into only giving to ball to a RB on fricking fire only 11 times, for example?

We only had like 52 plays total I think (can't remember exactly.)

And, it's not like we were giving it to other RBs. Magee had the most carries with 7, and two others had 2 each.

Certainly our offense wasn't great. But, if you watch that game and come to the conclusion that our defense was on the field for as long as it was as a result of the offense, then we just see things differently.

That's why Chavis wore a tuxedo to the bowl game - he said if he was gonna be impotent he wanted to look impotent!

The defense opened the game giving up an 8 minute TD drive. No excuse for that kind of performance.

Well I didn't watch the game but you clearly have no clue what you're talking about.

no one is blaming Chavis for all of LSUs issues all season

they are only blaming him for the ND game and they have every right to

The defense being on the field so long was their own fault. 11 of 17 on 3rd down. Gave up an 8 minute TD drive to start the game. That's on the defense.

The fact that you didn't watch the game and are still talking shite is funny though.

Yes. Put the damn blame where it belongs. It belongs with John Chavis. He did not negotiate with LSU in good faith, he lied to Les Miles, he lied to recruits, he lied to recruits parents, and he didn't even attempt to help LSU with a defensive scheme vs. ND.

LSU scored 28 points and got screwed out of a TD which would have given LSU 35 points. LSU lost that game vs. ND on defense and there is no doubt about it.

Our offense missed out on converting drives into touchdowns to put it away.

I don't buy this crap. Have you seen any of this bowl season? You know how many "offense-minded teams" blew their games in the last few minutes of the game?

A lot. I have no desire to throw all our athletes on offense like these schools.

Can you also conclude that each and every element of defensive failure in that game is a result of lack of preparation on Chavis' part or not being engaged during the game?

Fine ... Chavis is the lone scapegoat. LOL.

Y'all were suckin' his dick when he held Ole Miss to 7 pts when we the offense lit it up for 10, huh? Oh, my bad ... that must've been the players picking up the slack for how bad Chavis sucks.

Score a whopping 13.67 ppg vs. SEC WEST opponents this year ... and people think the DC was the main problem.

Well ... HE GONE ... all is well now.

Damn right.

Three of our TDs were the kick-off return, the long pass, and LF7's long-arse run.

I think we had one sustained drive.

Time of possession
ND 37 minutes
LSU 23 minutes

Defense was on the field A LOT.

Both offense (per the norm) and defense played poorly ... at least Chavis has the excuse that in his case, it was not incompetence but rather than he was courting TAMU and Sumlin.

So let me get this straight. We bitch all year because the offense struggles to score. THEN when they have three huge plays for TDs we bitch because they scored too quickly and left the defense on the field too long?

LSU's defense couldn't get off the field because of LSU's defense. ND converted 11/17 third downs. The time of possession was so heavily skewed because LSU had three TD "drives" that totaled, combined, 38 seconds of possession.

But hey, what a shitty game plan. They should have scored those 21 points, but not THAT quickly.

Typical and predictable 3 & out puts them right back out there.

Excuse for scoring 28 points? They don't need one

No.

The offense scored 21 points. Special teams scored 7.

Of the offense's 21 points, one TD was Fournette's long run off tackle. The other was the long pass to Diarse.

I'm not discounting those, but to be truthful, the offense only had one sustained drive that resulted in a TD. Not good.

That said, I doubt that Chavis's leaving had anything to do with the way LSU played on defense.

This is as dumb as anything I have ever heard. Who do you think was calling the defensive plays? I actually was curious if he put forth his best effort or tanked the game. He knew he was going to be fighting to recruit the same players...

Have you ever heard of the phrase "conflict of interest".
