Can we just give it a rest....the season is over. Just because Chavis was on the phone with Sumlin doesnt excuse our offense not being able to complete a screen pass.

Excuse for scoring 28 points? They don't need one.

Maybe, maybe not. We all have heard that Chief is this up standing guy and loyal but none of us really know the man.
We assume it because he was at Tennessee for so long.
Of course Tennessee is his Alma Mater.

Chavis is seriously a bitch.
He fricked us over in so many ways yet all we ever heard of was how loyal he was

College is a different times,
Offenses are scoring more points now. Aside from ours of course.
Our offense missed out on converting drives into touchdowns to put it away.

Did you watch the game. We were a bad call and missed field goal away from scoring almost 40 points. Great point though.......

He did fulfill his contract. He was under no obligation to re-sign with LSU. Negotiating another contract prior to the game, while rubbing some the wrong way, is the way it is done.

They put enough points up. They don't need an excuse for that game.
What's your excuse for trashing the staff we have in place?
Start wearing maroon and posting positives on their board.
That would be your biggest contribution to LSU.

The offense scored 21 points (should have had 28 on the drive that ended with the fake FG); gained 436 yards and was 50% on 3rd down. ALL of which was a significant improvement from their production most of the year.
That said, I doubt that Chavis's leaving had anything to do with the way LSU played on defense. His leaving did not cause LSU's front four to get no pass rush whatsoever; miss countless tackles; and slip all over the field.
ND did basically what Auburn and MSU did to LSU, spread the Tigers out and gash them with a running QB.

Repeating bullshite i read on the rant....no....im talking about shite I saw in the game. Yes we scored 28 points....but we needed more than 28 points to win the game...we had terrible drives all game....take away the two Touchdowns from LF7 and we had no drives that produced touchdowns....offense was terrible all season long defense was great.
Three plays kept us in that game...three....everything else that our offense did was awful
open your eyes c'mon man

Damn right.
Three of our TDs were the kick-off return, the long pass, and LF7's long-arse run.
I think we had one sustained drive.
Time of possession
ND 37 minutes
LSU 23 minutes
Defense was on the field A LOT.
Both offense (per the norm) and defense played poorly ... at least Chavis has the excuse that in his case, it was not incompetence but rather than he was courting TAMU and Sumlin.
What's the excuse for Miles and Cam ? What distracted them into only giving to ball to a RB on fricking fire only 11 times, for example?

The offense scored these 21 points ON THREE PLAYS!!! A kickoff return, a 86 yard LF7 Run, and a 75 yrd pass.....
Those two plays combined for almost 40% of our offensive production....

I ain't even mad, all in the game right?
I'm sure Les has negotiated with assistants at other schools during that team's bowl prep before.
Won't be the first or last time this happens in the dirty game we call CFB.

Giving up 11 of 17 3rd down conversions will do that.
