Why didn't he have to serve it game one last year? They found out later? They had the option to serve it another game, but not this year?

Good recap. It sounds like Kayshon and Maason just weren’t smart enough to wait a few weeks for NIL to become legal.

Johnny Football just had an entire Netflix movie about his crap, including lying to the NCAA—-yet TAM doesn’t forfeit a game ? A coach doesn’t get tagged. Nothing.

I thought Snith was a true freshman last year?

So this happened before his HS senior season?

He was busted for signing for hundreds of thousands of dollars and missed a half against a rent a win.

How does that impact his eligibility?

I don’t know about how NCAA suspensions work in regards to injuries, do you?

This is why you never rule someone out for the whole year. Could have said he was ready, serve the suspension, then say he reaggravated something in practice.

He didn’t take a medical redshirt to my knowledge. If he didn’t, he was eligible for every game last year including the bowl, which he could have served the suspension for.

If he did redshirt, well, totally different story.

He was NOT hurt all of last year. He played the FSU game. Assume this occurred before the FSU game but came down after the FSU game. Still shitty for NCAA to handle it this way lost NIL

I don’t think it would be very convincing to say that he miraculously recovered from a torn ACL in record just so he could play in a bowl game against Purdue

LSU is so dumb. They could have staff or trainers “clear” smith at the end of last season and he could have “served” multiple suspensions even though LSU obviously would have never played him. Could have been a big proverbial frick you to the NCAA.
