The field will drain just fine.

I believe LSU spent a million bucks to install a top of the line drainage system in the field

There might be 8 hours between rain and kickoff. Plenty of time to dry out.

It has rained like one day in Baton Rouge in the last 2 months. Whatever rain falls Saturday the ground will soak up the moment it is done.

It'll be wet. Not sloppy. This is a top of the line field. It won't be the 2010 bowl game that was a shite show.

Your always bet the long shot in horse racing on a muddy track. So yes Tigers win.

The drainage system can manage huge rainfall:

quote:

”If you get a four-inch rain the day of a game, it has enough capacity, we feel, to hold underneath the turf and move out of the system," David said. "Now you're not standing in water. It's not a safety hazard. This gives us the ability to capture that water, get it below grade and move it out."

LINK

We may get one inch on Saturday.

Insert obligatory “use your dick size for comparison” joke.

It won’t be muddy.

anyone ever see when a football field gets dried off by a helicopter day of or during a game?

neat little trick worth exploring if the Tigers are worried the $1M drainage isn't working as designed.
