Was it Braswell or Milam?

The team played well since.

Pretty sure Skip is privately helping CJJ with his decisions, imo.

What you think? Is he involved or not?

He's 86 years old. He isn't helping CJJ with day-to-day decisions.

In my opinion, you are a dumbass.

Whenever we reach the point where you can't criticize JJ anymore, your next resort is to start giving the credit to somebody else. Pretty pathetic.

If you've heard Skip speak recently, like when he was on a game broadcast a during the Ole Miss series, you wouldn't think he's helping with the decisions behind the scenes.

Kinda cool, but no way it has any impact..
Skip is super old and a young kid is happy to meet him, but won't listen to advice.

I always thought it was obvious that Skip would give advice to coaches. He’s the greatest coach in LSU athletics history. Why not ask for some insight from someone like that?

I’m not trying to imply he runs the team. It’s more like a young man asking his dad for advice trying to figure out a problem. Coaches do it a lot more than you might think.

Teams playing well.
Skip despite your feverish dreams has had nothing to do with it. Unless you have more to go on?

I think that any kid wearing the purple and gold would ABSOLUTELY take some advice from Skip Bertman and utilize it. Crazy to think otherwise.

Skip Bertman is the standard for the "real deal"

If they have any sense, the players and coaches should listen to anything Skip has to say. I don’t care if he is 100,

with "decisions"? no.

buy Jay has openly admitted he and Skip talk regularly, so I'm sure there is some advice being tossed out there when they speak.

Can see this. But op didn’t word it like that. He made it sound like skip is helping him daily with decisions.

Current players won’t listen to advice that skip gives them? Lol

LINKThere was a video of Skip talking with Guidry posted within the last week or so. Don’t recall where I saw it or if it was dated nor was there audio, but looked to me like an in depth baseball conversation based on Skip’s hand gestures.

So when something does not go right its JJ's fault. If things start going well its because Skip is talking to players.

Skip is very sharp and apparently as he ages all he wants to do is talk baseball.

But, Jay is in charge. If he's relying on Skip's experiences, he's doing it because he sees the value in it himself.

Does Skip give encouragement to the players and coaches? Yes, it’s kind of like when your grandparents encourage you. Nothing negative about it at all, but not essential.

There was also video of Jay calling Skip on his birthday & he brought Braswell into the conversation
Skip told him how proud he was of him
In no way is Skip making or helping make decisions but it’s cool to see the respect the players give him
