I don’t disagree, but we will likely need Yorke if we are to make a push in the postseason, so we need to get Yorke right if possible

Need what from him, exactly? Bad defense, a low batting average and no power?

Look, he made a big jump up in competition, and it didn't work out. Time to try someone else to see if they can help you or develop for the future

Just remember how guys like Cowan and Arrambide have been treated this year by the fans when they had poor showings. To a lesser extent, Dardar was written off as well. Grant Fontenot had no role 5 weeks ago.

Don’t give up on talented players. Yorke will be counted upon again at some point.

Yorke has had more opportunities than almost all of those guys combined, and hasn't made it work. I don't wish ill on the young man, but some people just hit their ceiling

In baseball your body is your billboard. Someone who looks like that screams lazy and undisciplined. If you are going to be grossly overweight you better have outlier performance.

I know OBP is important but I also watch the at bats. He is hoping for a walk in most at bats, taking perfect strikes and then swinging mostly when he has to and we all know the results. Sometimes taking strike 3 instead of protecting. Major holes in his plate coverage.

Add that to league worst defense at the easiest position to play, 5th percentile speed, you should not be playing everyday at LSU.

He's a senior. There's not enough time left in this season for any changes to diet and exercise to have much effect on his performance. That should have been done in the off season. Good suggestion but it's just too late. It is what it is.

Wrong. While sitting on the bench, you might as well work on your health and weight. Just 20 lbs can get you back in a game at a critical juncture. Team first, senior or not. Life isn’t fair.

Brother, there is not enough time left in the season for him to make that kind of transformation while simultaneously working on his craft. This is what he is this year.

Should our "fans" start one more thread shitting on a Tiger who is trying his best to get back on track. Enough is fricking enough. Yall dont have McMahon to kick around any more so you need another villain. Can't just fricking enjoy winning a big series in a tough place to win. No we gotta have 75% of the board spewing this shite over and over. I don't why anyone would want to play here with fans like this.

Serna at 1B, Bide C, Yamin can rotate at C and Bide DH (my recommendation)

This and if we playing pitcing matchups you can swap Braun with whoever is DHing

He’s performed well in spurts. It’s obvious he is talented enough to play here based on his body of work and flashes. That’s why Jay keeps playing him

He is more of a liability than a benefit in my opinion.

It’s baseball. More so that probably any other sport, players are susceptible to “slumps”. He needs a “slump buster”. Any of you baws have or know any recommendations? In all seriousness, CJJ will no doubt be working with the big guy both mentally and skills wise. Maybe it will just take a bit of “pine time” for him to get his head straight. There is a reason that CJJ chose him to be a part of this team. Most players go through slumps for a myriad of different reasons.

I don't think he's one of top 9 position players right now. There are a few options for how 1B can be handled:

Yamin at 1B
Serna at 1B, Bide C, Yamin can rotate at C and Bide DH (my recommendation)
Braun at 1B
Dardar at 1B (played there some at KSU) and Carraway at 2B

Agree he's not in Top 9 as of now. Any of those lineups you mentioned would probably work. Caraway at 3B and Pearson at 1B would also work but would like to leave Pearson at 3B and get another big bat at 1B like a Yamin or Serna.

I think Yorke continuing to consistently play is more of a reflection on the team’s lack of solid depth.

In the past Jay has had a number of very talented options on the bench to rotate in for struggling players. There aren’t any Freys or Travinski’s on the bench this year.

Jay has earned the right to play his team how he wishes. Personally I wish Yamin would get a could more chances. Maybe that will happen now.

His stats in the SEC for SEC games are last place for 1b across the board. Both offense and defense.

He will start the Championship Series in Omaha and you will like it. He will get the game winning hit in game 3 against Arkansas on a sky high pop up just out of the infield that they misplay with 2 down in the bottom of the 9th

False even CJJ can be wrong,
Yorke is a portal miss in a portal outside of Moore and the Garcia the rest of the portal haul has not been up to snuff
