No LSU shouldn't be ranked ahead of ole miss.
Is LSU better? Yes, they beat them.
Should LSU be ranked ahead of them? No, it's a poll ranking 25 teams not just two. There will always be matchups that allow a "lesser team" overall to beat one that is better against the rest of the country.
This is the case for LSU. Not a difficult concept.
If we ranked LSU OM only, it would be
1. LSU
2. Ole Miss
But it's not so it will probably be
12. Ole Miss
15. LSU

Try building a top 25 without violating that principle.

LSU should be ranked ahead of Ole Miss.
LSU probably won't be ranked ahead of Ole Miss and you will see that this current system is really no better than the one previously, except that we get 2 semi-finals now.

You've pointed this out like a 100 times. We get it. No one is pretending like it didn't happen. All people are saying is we've got impressive stuff on our resume too. Jesus, its like turning your grades around in the second semester and getting A's in a subject you struggled in earlier in the year and your mom still saying "but you got c's last semester." No shite, ma. Thats why I got my shite together this semester. Look at these fricking A's!!!! Take me to Chuck-E-Cheese damn it!

Eyeball test Ole Miss has looked better than LSU in its losses.

Yes.
LSU beat Ole Miss + Ole Miss did not beat anyone that LSU lost to.

I'll start caring when a poll on Nov. 2nd has bearing on anything of significance. In all honesty the committee should release just one set of rankings at the end of the season. Any of the polls up until that point are nothing more than fodder for people to get unnecessarily worked up about

I agree. It's meaningless at this point. Handle it like basketball.

Our blow outs is what's keeping us down. But they should be close to us. But really what should happen is, uga should be below us and ou. They have two bad losses. Ole miss should move down but lost close games. Bama should go down cus now they have a loss to a 2 loss team.
If the committee does this, I may have faith, but it prob won't happen. LSU has possibly played the 3 best teams in the country and gets no love.

My thoughts exactly. And I think that is exactly what the committee will do in the final rankings. They'll take the whole body of work and "seed" accordingly 1-25. Don't be shocked to see a 1 loss SEC, Pac-12 or Big 12 champ seeded higher than an undefeated FSU. The ACC is the worst of the big 5 conferences. It's ranked lower than the Big 10

Olé miss has a functional qb. Lsu does not

What is driving me crazy is all this talk about being blown out by State and AU. We should be getting credit for the growth shown in recent weeks. This typically is given strong consideration by college basketball committee and should be by the new college football committee.
I think it all depends on how we do against Bama and quite frankly this will be our true litmus test. Still, it is frustrating to have RECENTLY beat number 4, lose to 1 and 3 EARLY and be ranked 19 and behind the #4 team we beat. SMH
Geaux Tigers! Beat Bama!

Doubtful. At this point, their win over 'Bama is perceived as a better win than the Tiger's win over them. What's more, they should have beaten Auburn at home while the Tigers were catfood on the Plains. I see OM staying in the top ten while LSU moves up only slightly.

If they are not higher than Ole Miss then the emphasis on head-to-head is a ruse.

I would say one lost to Auburn : it should have been a flag thrown on that play another example of the SEC MONEY call, in the Ole Miss Bama game bama got away with the ripped off face mask got a TD .Yes Auburn got the W but the flag throwers took it away ,like the liberals want to do with our money , gave it to Auburn
So really there should be no change , should it ?

when LSU wins out and finishes 10-2,
and MSU loses to Bama and Ole Miss and finishes 10-2
should LSU be ranked ahead of MSU?
head to head, MSU won (barely), but LSU would be on a tear as MSU slipping
