I really hope they push the entire season back and then start 2021 late and then get back on schedule in 2022
Man could you imagine LSU on a cool spring morning with crawfish burners running all around campus and then Texas and the boy kisser come to town?

I don't give a shite if there aren't ANY fans in Tiger Stadium for that game as long as the Texas locker room is hot as piss.
Might be the one time where we want a day game at Tiger Stadium. Have it at high noon with no A/C in the Texas locker room.
No doubt though that it becomes much easier for Texas to come out of Tiger Stadium with a win if there's no fans in the stands. I want them to be subjected to the full Tiger Stadium experience, including going home with a loss.

At this point there's no chance of college football having games right now with a full crowd. At best Tiger Stadium would be around 50% capacity for this game, most likely more around 20-30%.

Maybe you are but JBE is not ready to let the spotlight go away from him. JBE is not ready for you all to be distracted. You really think JBE cares if LSU football goes on this season or not? Newsflash, he doesn't.

We should play ball! Open the stadium, have people sign wavers if we have to. Allow people to wear mask if they want and those afraid for their health can stay the frick home! We are having more cases because we are testing more and the death rate will continue to decline.

I can't stand JBE but I think he cares enough to where he wouldn't be the a-hole who cancels LSU football. He may be a complete power hungry narcissist who puts on an act as though he's super liberal and cares about others, but he also has enough sense not to do such a thing. If we don't have football, it won't be because of him. It'll be because of the SEC calling the shots.

JBE learned his lesson on using LSU football as a scare tactic. We don't play because we have no one to play...that's the only reason. We play in the Winter/Spring is my bet. Imagine recruits going to watch games at Ohio ST in February.

IF we don’t have football this season (still hoping we will, with full stadiums) then I would hope they’ll move some things around to get it on the schedule next year or the year after. They owe us a return trip whenever that is.

I wish we'd play conference games only this year
This might happen.

push the rest of the scheduled games back one.
This won't....if they cancel the non-conference games this year you can kiss them goodbye.

JBE was an LSU Football season ticket holder BEFORE he was ever elected to any state office. He still has his two tickets which he pays for. JBE was and is an LSU Football fan which is more than you can say for our past 2 governors.

Texas isn’t going to let us reschedule this game. If season is cut short and the game is cancelled as a result. They’ll be content telling us to pound sand

just have 100,000 people attend "Eyes of Texas" protest in Tiger Stadium

When we drink enough to stimulate the grey matter, great ideas surface.
I like it... Are we protesting the protests and at what point do we get to tear things up and start fires. Oh, wait we will do that at a road game. We are to wise to destroy our own shite. LOL

No vaccine, no large sporting events...
If that is the standard we won't have sporting events for a decade, if ever. Vaccines take time IF they can even make one.

That’s what u people get voting for a liberal governor 2 terms in a row!! Way to Geaux!!

I’d rather push it back a whole year if we can’t get 102k in there. We would cancel our cupcake game 2021 and still go to UCLA.

There is a contract signed by the parties, and the BIGGEST reason the schools agree to these home and home games is the financial benefit to each university because of it. Most notably, but not exclusively, the likelihood of huge demand for tickets.
No question Texas got the benefit of their bargain last season as it was a packed house and one of the more anticipated games in years in Austin. It is unlikely LSU will be able to realize the same benefit due to a situation completely out of their control. I suspect there is some sort of risk of loss insurance purchased by the schools insuring them in case the game can't be played (the likely risk being weather...particularly in Louisiana...early Sept.). But does that insurance cover a situation like this were the game may still technically be able to be played...but absent the anticipated financial benefit to the home team?
I think we would all agree this is LSU's most anticipated non-conference game since at least 2007 (Virginia Tech), if not longer. Losing the anticipated gate for the Texas would be a huge financial loss for LSU game and a tough pill to swallow. I could understand if LSU wanted to try to reschedule this game. Even if we, as fans, would hate to see it bumped
