I understand your point that we have to deal with the here and now but Shaq is a difference maker and I understand and agree with him and Saban that this isn’t the solution. Shaq will be a part of the fix. In the meantime, I wish he could convince and support a High School player to come to LSU until he declared for the NBA. My dream, a big that would be a difference maker like Shaq, not only as a college player but NBA, a generational player.

Agree

Step one is to get rid of unlimited transfers in the portal.

You will probably see more and more alumni taking such a stand. They didn’t get their money by being stupid or foolish, even the rich oilmen.

This is silly. Have to speak with your wallet for people to pay attention.

I understand Shaq's frustration but how's this LSU's fault? These kids have agents and greedy family members that put the rat poison in their head. If anything makes them sign legal contracts or don't give them their money until they complete 2 or 3 years with LSU.

Imagine giving money to college athletes.

They can fold the program before I give a nickel of NIL money.

He's absolutely right NIL contracts should come with penalties, if you break contract and leave the university before the contract expires you are responsible for paying money back to NIL fund. The end idgaf how you spin it that's the way it should be.

For as many teams take a principled approach to this, like Tennessee and Shaq with NIL, there will be teams that don’t care and just want to win, no matter the cost. That’s why you need rules. I don’t understand why we are catering to these kids. Fans would pack the stadiums and ratings if it was 5 stars or 1 stars.

LSU Alum and one time LSU football die-hard fanatic Semjase had already been permanently turned off so much to the LSU football game day experience by Scott McWoodward/LSUAD, that we (Sem and Mrs. Sem) just picked up and got the hell out of Dodge.

The LSUAD devolution of the traditional atmosphere inside the Coliseum, (Tiger Stadium) combined with the continued degeneration of the City of Baton Rouge, made the move an easy decision.

Now all this NIL BS puts a Death Blow on it all and it's much easier to separate from it all from New Smyrna Beach than from inside the Red Stick Prison walls.......

Good for him. At this point I believe they need to make these contracts. The kid signs his NIL deal and it stipulates he has to stay for so long. You can have concessions like if your HC/coordinator leaves or if you are a projected first round pick
