It is sad but cannot say I disagree. He was finally starting to contribute once he got healthy which was good to see but its just yet another disappointing feature of what transpired.

Shaq's son was not the only one.

Woodward and Tate abandoned all the kids on the basketball team. Woodward, Tate and the NCAA have no concern for the student in student athlete.

This sports program is going to shite fast under Woodward's direction.

Dumbass post of the day right here. Will most likely be Dumbass post of the month for April and easily a finalist for Dumbass post of the year.

Nice job dumbass.

Like what receive special treatment because he’s Shaqs son? If he wants that he should go play basketball at Tulane but this is LSU. You earn your playing time.

So Shareef, didn't want to hang around and get some solid PT with our new coach because he didn't get PT from Wade because Efton was getting paid? What am I missing, who is Shaq pissed at?

If you read between the lines, like a lot of people he is pissed that WW got fired right before the tournament.

Ok, but Wade hardly played him, so you'd think Shaq & son would be happy about a fresh start with Matt.

I feel Like he did everything he could to earn more playing time.

He was always a hard working guy who did a lot when he was on the court.

LOL

If you read between the lines it means that he thought Will Wade would recognize his talent and use him more and he didn’t because he’s a dumbass coach. There’s no possible way that kid didn’t get more playing time anyone who knows basketball would see that. He gave 100% all the time out there, was always aggressive for putbacks and on the glass defensively and has a much better skill set than Fudge and Reid. We blew it with him. Or at least Wade did. By this comment though, it doesn’t seem like he’s going to be one of the ones MM is going to be able to reel back in. If not, that’s very disappointing.

I guess you could say Shareef got special treatment when Shaq showed up to the last home game against Mizzou and Wade actually played him 19 minutes and he got 9 points on 66% shooting from the field and 7 rebounds. Then we played Mizzou again a few days later in the SEC tourney and he played 0 minutes.

Nobody is saying Shareef is a star, but he did seem more aggressive than Reid or Fudge and in the 5 games where he played 10+ minutes, he shot 60+% from the field in 4 of them and shot 50% in the other. And his aggessive drives and scores at Florida were huge in getting that win. Wade played favorites though.

I'm not taking the blame off Wade at all. I think he deserved to go.

It's like sending your kid to a friend's business thinking he'd "take care of him" but instead got screwed

All he wanted to do was shoot threes and play no defense…as a big man he was soft as charmin and always out of position

Way to be on top of things. O’Neal missed all of the week leading up to the SECT because of the death of his grandfather.

Agree on that point.

You Will Wade hysterics are something else. Before LSU's last game Charles Barkley referenced Will Wade as a hell of a coach, which he said he knew because he coached Shaq's son, and basically gave him a shout out on air which really was out of the blue other than it was obviously just repeating what Shaq told him since it's not like Barkley pays attention to college bball until the tournament.

Who knows what Shaq meant when he said LSU didn't take care of his son but trying to act like it was a shot at Will Wade is dumb. Wade is gone. If Wade was the problem Shaq would advise his son to stay. Obviously.
