Chase is top.
People forget how good Josh Reed was at LSU because he didn’t turn into an NFL star. I was at the Bama game in Tuscaloosa in 2001, and the only thing that stopped Reed that day was the clock running out. If Davey wanted him, he got the ball to him all day, and Reed dragged Bama defenders behind him. It was a Biletnikoff performance.
Reed had 293 yards receiving in that game.

Jarvis Landry is the best LSU receiver of all time IMO. He would have crushed it in our 2019 offense.

I
It's Chase by a good bit.
Interesting question would be to rank the WR groups:
2019 Chase, Jefferson, Marshall
2006 Bowe, Buster Davis, Early Doucet, (Lafell, Holliday)
2012 Beckham, Landry, Dural
1987 Wendell Davis, Tony Moss
2003 Clayton, Henderson

No way there will be a consensus. Jarvis Landry gets my vote. But also not sure how you can leave Jets or Bowe out of the conversation

Josh Reed
J'Marr Chase
Wendell Davis

Chase. I’ve been following LSU since the 60’s, and Chase was the best. Reed, Jefferson, Wendell Davis, Bowe, and Eric Martin were very good.

Josh reed was a monster in a Hines ward sort of way. Whether you needed 6 yards, 10+, or a td he’d go get it. More of a possession receiver whereas chase was more explosive.

Clayton #1
Landry #2
Chase loses points due to QB play.

I think this is a mixing of tiers.
Tier 1: Award winners
Chase and Reed
Tier 2: OBJ, Landry, Clayton, Jefferson, Bowe, Doucet, W. Davis, Martin
Tier 3: Marshall, LaDrop, Chark, B.Davis,
Tier: Gage, R. Randle, Dupree, Henderson, etc.

1. Jarvis Landry
2. Jamar Chase
3. Wendell Davis
4. Josh Reed
5. Justin Jefferson
They were all amazing receivers; it's hard to argue one was any better than the rest.

Many of you did not list Josh Reid so you must not have seen him play. He is the best followed closely by Chase and then Landry.
Reid seemed to be always open.

Wendell Davis - LSU knew he was getting the ball, the defense knew he was getting the ball, and he still made the catch and first down. The man was unstoppable in an era of running game first and great defenses.
Reed - Go watch the game in Bama. He ended up with something like 19 catches for 293 yards, but they basically shut him down in the fourth quarter because we were up so much. I wish they would have let him go for 500 that day.
Chase

Did you? Because it’s Reed not Reid.

I forgot about him. He is definitely in my top 3:
Reid
Chase
Wendell Davis
Landry
