These kids live in a different world than I'm familiar with. He's got kid, been through one season ending injury, has a chance to make it big and even bigger if he's a 1st rounder.

Risk vs reward business decision.

I like to remember our players at their best and his A-game was sweet. Best wishes and God bless him and his family.

Get your money now. His stats aren’t going to be much different in 23 with Daniels being qb. Why wait around for another lackluster season?

He was probably on the fence and this suspension was the straw that broke the camels back.

That’s a really refreshing outlook. It’s hard for me to remember that LSU isn’t the end game for these kids. He has a family to provide for now. People in here would do the same. They are lying if they aren’t.

I'm not surprised he changed his mind, regardless of who the QB is next year, his measurables are going to be what determines where he gets drafted.

Nah but I also probably wouldn’t have played like a bitch all season and tanked my draft stock either
WRs kind of depend on the QB to get them the ball when they are open. When you are constantly open but the QB doesn’t get you the ball I’m sure it’s quite frustrating.

Hopefully the scouts saw enough from last year because he didn't do shite this year.

I would’ve went to Bama last year and if he was my son I would’ve advised him to go also the minute I saw who BK named starting QB.

Your son would have gotten beaten by the LSU team and its QB too. Is your son a loser like you?

No. I was pretty shocked when he originally said he was returning.

Me too. But I’d have to see his draft grade to get a firm opinion.

My guess is back half of first or top half of second. If I’m right, he really should have declared.

If for some reason he was rated a little lower (3rd) then it made sense to come back and try to regain his draft status.

Glad we can close that chapter. Such a dysfunctional team member.

This recruiting class had some serious dysfunction.

He won’t get life changing money. He will be a solid 2nd or 3rd rounder and get and extra year start at the second contract.

He was coming back to play a year with Nuss and get those numbers back in the 2020 / pre injury 2021 range and go first round. But with Daniels back, it’s a business decision.

People can hate on this opinion all they want, but JD returning might tip me to leave if I was a receiver. Sure he can progress, but if I was already a 2nd-3rd rounder then this probably pushes me to go.
