Seriously - does anyone think that an EBR judge is going to get this right?

The legal issues presented by the case against the NCAA and SEC are numerous and complex - add into the mix the political ramifications of a local elected judge (even though LSU is not a party to the litigation) ruling against the players (which will affect LSU) and against the state's position (now that Liz Murrill has weighed in) - the First Circuit Court of Appeal will have their hands full

Judge Jorden is a great judge and he will get it right. Whether or not I like is ruling I'm confident that he will follow the law and get it right.

How do they expect a judge to make a ruling in less than a day? Has this judge seen the papers that have been filed and already has read them and has an opinion already? So many questions......

I don't disagree - this exposes the problem of these cases pending in local state courts - quite frankly, when LSU goes to play Ole Miss - Ole Miss could have a local chancery court grant a TRO when LSU lands in Oxford to prohibit LSU from playing these players and there is nothing LSU could do about it

I want to hear the ncaa's reasoning or the sec's reasoning and even the media really for why the BR judges judgment is so important and the other 30 judges rulings or whatever it is seems to be irrelevant

take off the purple and gold glasses for a second jack arse - I suspect that you don't even have college degree - regardless, I see both sides - I think the players have a legitimate position - the NCAA 5 for 5 rule screwed them - however, I also see the SEC's position as being a private voluntary membership organization who has the right to enforce their rules against their members - at the end of the day - right would be the NCAA simply amending the 5 for 5 rule and allowing the 2022 class a fifth year and allowing (for this one year only) the players who went to the NFL to go back to college

He should have seen most of the issues at the hearing on the TRO. He is not supposed to grant it unless he believes that the plaintiff is likely to be successful on the full merits. I think his main new issue is how to treat the SEC. Personally, I would not want to appear in front of a judge who granted a TRO and have to argue that a new rule my client created after the TRO to essentially avoid the order was not contempt of court.

Correct. But id assume if he rules for the players, he will have wording that allows them to play immediately without fear of punishment from sec or ncaa.

Wouldn’t have needed to if the NCAA just included 2022 and did this in January.
