I don’t think it’s moot because the SEC specifically phrased the complaint to claim the First Amendment injury persists even if LSU never rosters the players. Filling the roster probably kills any genuine argument that emergency relief is necessary, though.

There are definitely jurisdiction and venue questions though. Having to do with what exactly the SEC is as an entity, LSU as an arm of the state, etc. If the court rules favorably for LSU on those they won’t even get into the meat of the lawsuit today.

The redistricting pissing match won’t end until the artificial cap on the size of the House imposed in the 1920s is done away with. Even if it means we have to more than double the size of the House. Communities deserve to have someone represent their community, not some artificial blob drawn to win a zero sum game.

RMR footprint optics mount directly onto a slide cut to fit it or use an adapter plate system. The original dot that popularized the mounting method is made by trijicon, and it is expensive. Lots of other companies make dots that use the RMR footprint now, though.

M&Ps do come in optic ready variants that come with a number of plastic adapters you can use, including RMR, or you can get an aftermarket metal plate.

If you don’t have an optic ready variant, you’re kind of SOL unless you have your slide milled or replaced. Might as well get another gun at that point.

Flavor wise it won’t matter. Only thing to keep in mind is olive oil has a relatively low smoke point and can turn if heated too high. Again, though, you’ll be good as long as you’re on top of your temp and don’t try to rush.

Not sure what the mounting solution they use on the APX is but Holosun has options with the RMR footprint that’ll be good enough for the vast majority of people. Vortex is starting to have options too now and their warranties are great.

Consider getting one with an enclosed emitter if you plan to conceal carry it daily or run it hard.

I think the result of his shot speaks for itself. 800 yards is hard to justify. I don’t care if you’re out west or on the moon.

Otherwise I agree the story was ultimately underwhelming and I found myself wishing I had spent the time watching doing something else.
