They are not playing for a "top 8" seed. Lsu would not be any more than a regional host no matter the outcome of this tournament.

This is the same LSU Baseball team that lost 1-7 & 1-4 to Tulane and 0-7 to McNeese St on Tuesday night. 4-3 this season on Tuesday

And they lost when it counted. This team has grown and far exceeded my expectations. It's all gravy now for me. I'm really looking forward to next year. Hope we find a better 3rd base coach though. Breaking the record for runners thrown out at home is not aggressive baseball.

LSU wasn't getting a national seed even if they won the tournament. Too many SEC teams are locks ahead of them.
