They are just using this as an excuse to get out of playing at Southern

It's not out of the realm of possibility to think canceling or postponing the start of football season is on the table...as ridiculous as that might sound.
The NCAA has already cancelled the CWS...which would not have occurred until JUNE! Spring ball is already canceled (which isn't a surprise), but the bigger question is when will the players be allowed to start working out/practicing as a team once more? If that is delayed significantly, then is it unreasonable to think the season would be as well?
I've already had an event that wasn't scheduled until LATE MAY cancel. It seems like we are extending the date in which things are being canceled further and further by the day

I wonder if the conferences and/or the NCAA will let the schools play the rest of their schedule as glorified scrimmages if the virus threat is over by the time the season is over.
