What blows my mind most about this: what precisely is it that LSU has done? Every step of the way they signaled compliance with the rules.

And at the end of the day they DIDNT roster them.

What, LSU in general and Kiffin in particular are responsible for the players filing for a TRO?

Is "professional athletes" defined in a way that everyone agrees upon?

LSU may end up getting paid from all this. Defamation of character without breaking any rules. It’ll be interesting if the SEC keeps pushing bc attorneys will make them pay.

going independent won't be as bad as we imagine it would be

We could get our own exclusive TV deal, not have to split earnings if we win a championship, and have the same clause as Notre Dame has where they’re basically guaranteed to make the playoff if they don’t completely implode.

Our BR judge and attorneys made him look really stupid last week. He's filing all this shite in Alabama to get a favorable judge. Don't think for one second this will be a fair hearing.

We aren’t going to go independent.
We won’t have Lane,Wade and JJ forever. It could work in theory right now because we are the top media draw and have coaches that could embrace and dominate.

We would go to the big 12 or Acc and immediately have the largest share of a brand new media deal that either conference would get.

This could also make the big10 jump at the chance to get us, Clemson, FSU and someone else.

Sankey has to be a big10 plant. He just keeps serving them up gifts

Weren't multiple SEC schools trying to recruit the same players?

Its not about recruiting the players its about seeking the players out and getting them to sue for eligibility. I could see how that might be frowned upon. You can't have a league member actively helping players sue the league over rules.

Now expelling us seems to be a bridge too far.

Thamel literally says in the article he doesn't expect the SEC to expell LSU.

This is all hot air

Its not hot air.

It implies intent and also is a huge distraction to our school and fan base.

Its exactly what I said was going to happen. They are trying to get LSU to misstep so they can go through with it. Its just harassment at this point.

Please do this Sankey. You'll be the most reviled commissioner in league history and be forced to resign in disgrace.

frick that. LSU is founding member of the SEC. We were here waaay before Sankey and will be after.

Sankey needs to go, he is insignificant to the SEC compared to LSU and his actions in this matter warrant his removal.

likely would have to be 15-0 and it would be very foolish.

It’s also extremely foolish for the sec commissioner to want to poke at the member that brings titles and eye balls

This isn’t really about playing illegal players, it’s about us “coercing” players to sue

Hell no. Their commissioner is an even bigger idiot than Sankey. That monster energy deal was horrible.

I want Lane to tell Sankey to go frick himself on live TV as that happens. Is there a rule against that?
