Better question: Why would the feds step in and say what a private organization can and can't do regarding its internal rules? No rights have been violated by Lane or anyone else at LSU.

LSU really needs to sue the ever loving frick out of the SEC. To continue to bash and trash the University is unacceptable and very unprofessional when we broke no rules

That’s coming

This was my concern I told all the “time to back down” crew.

You have a spiteful man in charge of the SEC that we just embarrassed the hell out of.

This is a great question. Maybe they want to cover their arse when LSU countersues them if they were to be expelled.

If LSU asked to released and transfer to another conference would the other 15 approve? Actually, they should ask Louisiana Tech when they down here this weekend. They have switched conferences numerous times.

Texas actually went a step further and rostered Hutson.

There are about 42 billion reasons why Milquetoast Sankey won't mention them.

I'm starting to move towards the idea that going independent won't be as bad as we imagine it would be. This is starting to really piss me off now.

I would assume that LSU would have to pay a hefty exit fee. But also if we get expelled, that the fee goes the other way. Like a contract.

Thamel literally says in the article he doesn't expect the SEC to expell LSU.

This is all hot air

Are the other schools on board with wasting money on crap like this against another school?

LSU did not play these players, but other schools in the SEC did. What am I missing other than Sankey got his arse handed to him in court and now he is butthurt?

The lawsuit isn't about LSU rostering or playing NFL players but organizing and encouraging them to sue the SEC and NCAA for eligibility. IDK if this has legs or not but this feels like when LSU fans pretended we had nothing to worry about with Will Wade and then he eventually got fired.

If any team in the country could afford to go independent, it would be a very select few but we would be one of them. Us and Texas come to mind.

I don’t want us to leave the SEC and I think Sankey is going to lose his job over this. Let that idiot continue to dig his own grave.

LSU may end up getting laid from all this. Defamation of character without breaking any rules. It’ll be interesting if the SEC keeps pushing bc attorneys will make them pay.
