SEC is in a game of full on "chicken" today because they know otherwise their case sucks

Thus Dellenger, Finebaum, Tom Mars etc with the full press
If they knew otherwise, they would just walk with a quiet stick.
Not saying it is worth it all with what we would be getting, but that is what they are doing.

Looky here with the admission
"No matter which side of this eligibility debate you’re on, I think everyone would agree that a court cannot force LSU or any university to put a football or basketball player on its roster. NCAA rules require that a team roster must be certified and submitted to the NCAA the day before the team’s first day of competition. So this may come down to an epic game of chicken next week regardless what happens in any court. (Chicken emoji)"

Does it? An organization that big does not play chicken as a Hail Mary. They play chicken with the full knowledge if they become leg and breast quarters an individual school has to be pressed back together just so they can be considered nuggets.
This is bigger than two players that signed pro contracts and now want back into college

You’re omitting key information. These players felt as they had no choice to declare because their new eligibility wasn’t decided yet. So of course they decided to declare and try out, they had no other course of action until AFTER their decision was already made

1000% Sankey is bluffing and he will more than likely get lockered AGAIN in court on Thursday. God I hate his arse

Haha, they are not going to try and expel LSU, but hey if they do, so be it...

He also failed to mention the SEC added bylaw amendments to include punishments for institutions AFTER the judge's initial TRO. Which was a blatant disregard of a court order. This will not win points with the judge by the SEC & their legal representation.

seems like a bluff. Sankey comes out and throws out ridiculous possible punishments for teams to see if the teams would just bow down. They did not and they added him and conference to the cases and then he backed off. Now throwing out that other institutions are gonna boycott or you will get kicked out blah, blah, blah is a bluff scare tactic to try and get you to back down without going forward in court.

Exactly. LSU is one of the most valuable brands in college athletics. The SEC is not going to kick out one of their cash cows

They're just stating an opinion. Mars has some credentials while Finebaum and Dellinger do not. Finebaum is just being his typical douche self. He was lapping up the "lane is a new man crap" in the SEC Network piece but then turned on Kiffin as soon as the opportunity arose. Finebaum is a POS.
I would guess that the judge will rule in the players favor, but it's a local judge. I don't see the SEC shrinking from this in any way. Their lawyers will make their case. Even with a favorable ruling, LSU is going to proceed cautiously. Even Lane says that they are in contact with the SEC office for guidance. LSU is not going to fall on its sword for three players.
