Wright and Harris didn’t sign pro contracts.
Wright got a $25k signing bonus so that's wrong.
Contract details
New Orleans Saints sign DL Zxavian Harris
quote:
New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has signed DL Zxavian Harris.
Signing these contracts is the line in the sand for the SEC, along with allegations of recruiting them to come to LSU (while they were in professional training camps) and allegations of coordination to sue the NCAA/SEC.

This is not the time to get your attention fix that you so desperately need daily. This is the time where actual grounded adults use common sense. Run along and play now.

What a strange response when I did nothing but correct an incorrect post.
What's your problem with the truth?

I think everyone's problem with you is that this is a serious matter, and not the time for your daily bs.

Last post about me. Most of what I've been doing is specifically addressing emotional and irrational posts/takes by LSU fans.

no mention of any other school rostering these guys Texas, then Texas all of a sudden taking him of the roster

Signing any contract is the line. Do rookies that attend a camp sign a standard piece of paper contract? Did g league players sign a contract? Did softball players sign a contract?

Not what I said

Waivers are not the same as contracts for payment.

Not gonna happen. No rules were broken.

Even if true, so what ?

I don't know why you're getting downvotes. As absurd as that sounds, thems the rules.
Thanks for taking the time to post the relevant provisions.
The amount of pure bullshite and propaganda put out by the SEC through their bogus Alabama legal action and media mouthpieces is concerning. The general public will assume, "Well LSU must have done SOMETHING wrong."

Too bad that now you’re just going into details that the SEC does not. You cannot define differences that they did not. the End.
And using “payment” in today’s world of college football as the definition of professional is absurd in the eyes of the courts now.

It's probably just folks who are confident, like I am, that the SEC will not impose penalties. They see a post about the power of the SEC to impose a penalty and they downvote because they're confident there won't be a penalty. It's not a downvote on my post that the SEC can do it, it's a downvote on the possibility of the SEC doing it. I get it.
Either that or they're stupid. Either way, it doesn't matter to me.

Can’t? I don’t really know.
I mean, if they could kick a school out just because they wanted to on a vote, seems like they could (or would at least try to) levy punishments ad hoc if the other schools voted for it.
My question is, does a school faced with this have a mechanism outside of filing a lawsuit to make their case?
I do know they should fight any punishment, if given. If the SEC goes down this road, tear it down.
Thank goodness Aleva and Woodward aren’t here anymore.

I believe that AG Murrill has already notified Sankey of such plans. He and his attorneys clearly miscalculated the amount of pushback that they would receive with these ridiculous lawsuits.
He’s used to dealing with Aleva and Woodward. He doesn’t understand that the new boss is not the same as the old boss.

Any punishment will be challenged in court, and a TRO will be issued holding off on any punishment.
