Yep
Would have to collectively bargain

A rev share cap won't sow anything down. NIL is still wide open, and that is the bulk of the money anyway.

At this point it feels like Sankey is doing everything hat he can to get fired and they keep refusing to fire him.

Teams would just leave eventually.

Is this frickhead a slavering imbecile?

I don’t understand this. What teams are spending revenue share money above what they were allotted? And how?

Who tf cares what the longhorns want, but the idea is so Ferengi. Just an attempt by POSs to get a rake.

I believe the Protect College Sports Act, which proposes to increase the Revenue sharing limit to the $40 plus million number. True NIL paid through outside parties under contract would not be subject to this number. However, if the school or affiliated persons funnels NIL money directly to players, then that would have to count against the Revenue Sharing limit. Not sure if this is going to pass now. So I think the Big 10 and SEC want to do something similar on their own in case the Act doesn’t pass. I believe the Big 10’s explanation said something like they cannot punish players for receiving excess combined Revenue Sharing and School Related NIL, because that would be in violation of the Supreme Court NIL ruling, but they did believe they could punish the schools for overspending.
I think the NCAA wanted the Protect College Sports Act because they felt that would offer more protection from the law suits in local courts. I don’t know if that’s the case if conferences are adopting their own rules that aren’t uniform. We’ve got enough chaos with the local courts cases. We don’t need every conference making up it’s own rules with no uniformity.

Why are federal bill always named the exact opposite of what they will actually do?

Got it.
This will be challenged immediately in court.
We have NCAA rules. School presidents don’t abide by them though. This could all be fixed if school presidents directed their ADs and coaches to simply follow the rules already in place. But they don’t do that.

It’s like the liberals are purposefully wanting to tear down the southern schools that southerner fans hold dear.

Kick his stupid a$$ out and hire a good commissioner. Sankey is an idiot.
Posted on 11/6/26 at 5:30 pm to YeauxTigers
He put the SEC at a huge disadvantage with the 85 scholarship limit the previous 3 years. That’s why the big ten got a big jump having the extra 20 scholarships while we had 20 walk ons. It got repealed just this year.

Time to bolt this communist conference.

He's dying to make the SEC less competitive. Think the Big 10 will do this? Sankey needs to go. It's not his money. He's an abject failure.
