what does that total look like AFTER Jan 1? Les should be <2MM left because LSU would have paid him 4.3 for 2017 and 4.3 for 2018 of the 9.7 he had left by the end of 2016. As far as Orgeron, his buy out after this year is 8.5 MM. so LSU can start over with a total buy out of about 10MM from both of those guys and just pay a coach what coaches make.

Or LSU could have paid Jimbo in 2016 and we would have been ahead of the game after les’ contract was taken care of.

No, we're hyped because we have arguably the best defensive line in the SEC, return 4 starters on the offensive line that gave up the least sacks in the SEC last season, a dark horse Heisman candidate at QB, a 1,000 yard rusher at running back, the #1 JUCO WR, talented veterans at linebacker, added talent at cornerback, and the SEC interception leader from last season.

But if he predicted LSU going 12-0 you would be ok with the Advocate keeping him?

I would think he's a bit of a homer then, but to me, he's just going with what he heard from vegas and then at sec media days. I'd even be ok with saying 7-5 but give some legit reasons after evaluating other teams.

Miss State beat us when we were down, and auburn beat them 49-10. A&M hasn't beaten us since the sec. Miami is 0-3 in their last three games. Auburn, UGA, Bama - ok I can respect that... but everyone of these other teams is buying into unproven hype on Mullen, Fisher and Moorehead… or... just regurgitating national media.

There are only 3 games on LSU’s schedule that the Tigers should lose, and 2 of them are at home.

My expectation is 9-3 or 10-2. Anything worse and I will not be pleased with how the 2018 season played out.

I do think Orgeron gets 2019 with an 8-4 or 7-5 season while we get a new AD in here, but anything worse and all bets are off.

Felipe Franks might be the worst QB in the SEC

Mullen will make them competitive tho

Ole miss is a team I worry about with their WR corps & mobile QB. They will light some people up

Franks had the worst completion percentage in the SEC last year. Mullen is a good coach but he'll need to work a miracle with a QB situation that's worst than ours

Maybe Moorhead is an unknown, but how are Fisher and Mullen unproven hype. Fisher is a NC winning coach, got Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel drafted, that's how successful he's been at developing QBs. And Mullen just pushed our shite in last season.

Ya unless we really bomb O will get a 3rd year and he should. Coaches need 3-4 years to build their teams most of the time. Dabo went 6-6 n year two and many wanted him gone. He said that was the year he knew he had something big at Clemson. No finger pointing players stayed together. All 6 losses were close games so dabo knew they were about to take off. They won the ACC the next year. So if 5 losses are to great teams and all are closely contested I think he would have his job n 19

He was playing for Butterteeth in a system that was poorly suited for him.

Mullen's system, one that utilizes a QB's mobility, is ideal for him. He's not Michael Vick but more than capable athletically to run Mullen's system.

O won’t get fired this year unless a scandal occurs or we miss a bowl game. He deserves at least 3 years just like every coach at any school when trying to build a program. We may have a worse record this year due to the schedule, but hopefully we see progress on this team. 2019 will be make or break.

Fitzgerald had a 55% completion percentage last season. He's not as legit as you think.

Under Mullen he was coached well and played within his system.

Dabo wasn’t 10-25 as a previous HC.

I don’t think Clemson went 9-3 the year before Dabo started either.

He will get a third year, no doubt. Building a program? When he took over we were a 9-10 win program with Top 7 talent. The supposed reason he was hired was programmatic continuity...so the program building mantra is bullshite for him.
