Notre Dame just pulled a boss move! I am LSU true and true. I think we made the right move, but we wanted that dude! That is for sure!

Hiring an assistant is a boss move? Sure.

It work out well for them, but hiring a guy with no HC experience to run a program like Notre Dame could also be a disaster.

A huge gamble IS NOT a boss move.

They hired a DC with no HC experience who was under Fickell and has had one season at ND? Such a boss move. More like a Joe Alleva type move. Amateur hour at ND

Their track record for hiring coaches is abysmal. They hired a high school coach once.

LSU made a "boss" move in 2016 and ended up firing the guy 5 years later

Mike Archer
Bobby Williams

Sure, it might be fine.

It might...not.

What if Marcus Freeman is a perfectly good coach but you find out that Notre Dame is actually an 8-4 or 9-3 program and Kelly had them overperforming? What then?

They are gambling with him he will always be compared to BK he better win! Because the previous coach built what he has now he better sustain it or they will hate him just like how our fans compare LSU’s old coaches to nick saban or will happen watch they will become us without a championship they better win. 10 games and make the playoffs or there fan base will attack attack attack his arse

I will say it. The guy looks very insecure in his speech to his team. Repeating himself and folded arms are signs of insecurity. He is in over his head and this will not end well. However, the media will pump him up and do everything they can to not tarnish the Golden Dome any worse than LSU has already done. Fuk em.

I would not be surprised to see ND do well next year and all the "experts" will be blaring loud and clear what a great hire it was and then along comes year #2 and the face plant.

That was what the fans wanted! Kind of like the fans wanted Ed O and then it worked out into a NC! Just know that our defense would have been balllin’, had he come!

No shite! They just blocked everyone else that was fawning over him! We would have taken that dude at DC and paid him good! Notre Dame was like, no, not so fast and snagged him up as DC.

They hired him because they want to be frugal. That’s essentially why CBK left. They wouldn’t grant him some of his wishes for the program which makes his run there even more impressive.
