Sam Leavitt is going to be fun in a Lane Kiffin Offense

Watching his highlights now, he runs all over the field and makes crazy throws. Giving him Trey’dez Green with our other speedy receivers, and really good 1 2 punch at RB, it’s a cheat code.
If we’re able to run the football, this may be our best offense since 2019.

I want him to operate the way the system is designed to be run. Everything else will take care of itself. We’re in for some high level offense

Or I'd be fine with 2023. frick Matt House.

In my opinion, we have a faster and stronger armed Trinidad Chambliss, which seems unfair.
The way he dances around in the pocket and creates plays reminds me of Johnny Manziel

Most underrated stat for Leavitt is he's one of the highest graded QBs in the country under pressure and this is also alongside him having an injury last year.
The main worry with him is how quickly can he knock the rust off and how fast can he gain chemistry with his WRs? I hope he's hammering balls to them all summer right now.

I was looking at all of the bios of our players on lsusports.net and the common trend for all of our receivers is massive yards per reception. I think we have like 3 receivers in the top 5ish in that stat in the country last year.
its obvious that we went after downfall threats and most are big and thats not including treydez .
just go read the bios for all of our new skill position players

lanes offense is always leading the sec in rushing. if he can continue that with berry ,jones, and Durham, we will be able to throw deep balls against some stacked boxes to our deep threats. Harris and brown were both top 5 deep balls receivers in the country last year. they both had a bunch of games with about 120 yards on 3 or 4 catches.
were also not as reliant on the line holding up because of Leavitts mobility. the line will be better anyway though.
I truly beleive the most important thing for our offense to be able to do is run well enough to keep teams honest . I think we will have a better oline for running the ball than last year, for sure.

If that D line rounds into shape, this may be our best defense since Les Miles

It’ll all come down the OL. Key to the whole season.
If we get great OL play we’re going to make a deep run.

Skattebo had 1700 yards and 24 TDs in his last year at Arizona St….. I agree/hope Leavitt can sling it in Kiffin’s Offense, but Leavitt has never been asked, nor shown he can throw for the numbers most expect

I haven't seen enough of him to judge but are you seeing timing passes and him making pre/post snap reads and getting the ball out on schedule?
Is he one of these Manziel or Caleb Williams guys that wait for the play to break down and scramble and just try to find somebody?
I do remember when they made the run in the playoffs a couple years ago that he seemed to be more like JD5 in only scrambling when he had to. I believe Kiffin will require him to make the reads and get the ball out and not just rely on physical ability to run around and make some off platform throw.

The OP doesn’t know either. He is basing his opinion off of a highlight tape that should only the best of Leavitt.

Spoiler
LSU under Lane Kiffin is going to have an elite offense.
This is just common sense. We all have good reason to be excited.

Convenient you picked 3 years and not 4 considering in 2022 they did lead the league in rushing ypg.
Regardless, OM was either at the top or top 3 total offense every year and was at worst top 5-6 rushing each year.
