good thing LSU is a college team.

I don't give a rip about how a QB does in the NFL. I care about how they do at LSU.

I thought college football was too stressful for him, But I would love it if his help would hold out

Agree, yes Urban burns out, just one of those guys that is a high stress guy. But in 6 years at Florida, 3 SEC title games, 2 SEC Titles and 2 NC's. At Ohio State, in 7 years, 3 B1G titles (was 12-0 in his first year but not eligible to play for it) and 1 CFP, 83-9 overall

He has the second best coaching resume of his era.

USC got blown out by Stanford this weekend and I don't know if Helton out there survives, that would be potentially the only other big-time job that might come open for next year

It would be a much lower stress job than the insanity of the SEC and a rabid fan base. I have no problem with anyone suggesting that LSU hire Urban. He would probably give LSU 4-6 extremely outstanding years.

There's an argument that another two NCs puts him on almost equal footing with Saban and that might appeal to him. It's not a terrible argument.

I think retirement or USC are more likely but you make him say no.

Look at what he did at Ohio State? Look at the full cupboard he left over for the no-name Ryan Day.

I'll gladly take a guy who will build us into a national title winner/contender in three years and when he leaves shortly after we are left with a roster loaded with first round draft picks.

Do people believe that if Coach O doesn't make it through the season that Woodward isn't at least giving Urban a call?

Good. And the next coach shouldn't either. Ryan Clark is a cancer to the football program.

All reports coming out of Jacksonville say he's unhinged. So, I don't know how much longer he has left as a coach.

Urban Meyer is the next best hire after Saban for a college football HC job. In!

Right. We dont want a generational type coach to come in and fix this dumpster fire, if even for only a 3-4 year stint at which point we can be in good position to get a coach to sustain it.

Bet you would have said the same thing after Saban asked for his job back too

Simply put, the guy has rings. If CEO is truly out, you at least give Urban a call.

Hell I'd also call Dabo and try to entice him with "You've done all you can at Clemson, how bout joining the premier league in CFB"?

So what does Ryan Clark do besides stir the pot at LSU?

The chance it will be is greater than a lot of people on this board are willing to admit. I keep getting downvoted over this, but Scott is going after Urban first. Urban will give it good consideration.
