The bad ones that made it harder for LSU to win that last game?

Yes.

Well, yes I am bc PM’s decisions had nothing to do with winning the regional. Oregon’s manager allowing his pitchers to repeatedly throw fastballs in the zone to Dugas won the regional. Oregon’s manager asking his pitchers to throw over to first when the runner had not attempted a steal all year won the regional. Pulling Hilliard and Hellmers did not win the regional. We won despite those decisions.

I’m telling you, if we win game one don’t be surprised if Mainieri holds Marceaux to get six days rest.

Don’t you understand the Rant by now? We won the regional so everything that was done was an absolutely perfect decision and going forward until we lose all decisions will also be seen as perfect.

Nothing he does should surprise anyone. He proved once again in the last regional with his lineup in game 1 and handling of the staff in game 3.

I agree. We could give our ace an extra day rest if we win game one. Have him ready for the winner take all if we then lose game two.

I think what a lot of people are missing is that the pitcher was rattled and wanted no part of that situation. He was all over the place, was scared to throw the ball over the plate even before the strategy of that series started. Both coaches played it right, the pitcher lost focus.

It makes since and I figured that would be the case. Give Marceaux an extra day of needed rest and have your ace available for either a game to win the SR or keep your season alive.

If LSU could win game 1 there would be an argument to hold Marceaux one more day. But with Labas throwing 123 pitches last Sat. I suspect he needs as much rest as possible himself

Yes Josh , I know exactly what happened. He played squeeze defense and still called for throws to first. He put his pitcher and first baseman in a horrible position. He did so with zero understanding that Beloso wasn’t going anywhere bc he didn’t scout or review the scouting report. Its called poor coaching when you put your player in a position to fricking fail.

So again, you did not understand what oregon was trying to do. Just wanted to make sure

He wanted Thompson to show is hand that he was bunting. Since pitcher was left handed Thompson probably would have squared as he threw to first. Idt it had to do anything with keeping beloso from moving to second.

They weren’t throwing over because they thought he may steal.

Egregious that they will risk the chance that Labas may not touch the ball this weekend.

You go 2 & Q you’re going to look like a complete arse
