His schtick is so old

He meets with John Kennedy regularly and they talk about who can out-hokey the other

His simile and metaphor game is strong, but his actual play-by-play ability is pretty mediocre to bad. A lot of mistakes when trying to describe what is actually happening.

It's hidden when he's paired with Ben because Ben does such a good job at filling the holes.

When he's with Ronnie though, a dude who clearly does zero prep outside of reading the stat sheet a few hours before the game, it's a grating commentary to listen to because they both fail at actually calling the game and instead opt at trying see who can say the more Louisiana thing than the other.

ETA: I'll put it this way, if Lyn wasn't "one of us" and instead was the Missouri PxP guy, this board would destroy him like they destroy every non-LSU local broadcaster on SECN+/ESPN+
