What a great man. I’ll never forget sitting next to him when he was recruiting Randy Livingston at Newman. Talked to me as if we had known each other our whole lives.
Brought a lot of fun times to LSU basketball.

Many dont like him but I do. He was the coach when I was at LSU and I will forever like him the best. He got Shaq...Chris Jackson...Blanton...put in the freak defense. I will miss him. And he hated the NCAA
That 86 final four run as an 11 seed is one of my favorite LSU memories and the first thing that I think about with him. The UNLV, LMU and Arizona games in the PMAC in 90-91 are also pretty high there.
Maybe he never got LSU over the hump to win the national championship, but he built us up to where we were in the discussion.
RIP Coach Brown.

I learned a lot from Dale Brown about motivation and sports psychology. I remember emailing him at random for advice on it and he responded with a book recommendation, “The Inner Game of Tennis.”
He was generous with his time and knowledge, and his passion for teaching and sharing should be remembered by all of us at LSU.

Dale made LSU basketball fun...the 1981 final four through Shaq's last season was an amazing run...

How long before Tim Brando posts something to make it about himself?
Pat Forde already used it to take a swipe at Will Wade. Forde just can’t help himself.

A legend that lived a life inspiring greatness.
RIP Coach
The day I report as a freshman (football), he sat outside the stadium calming my mom down for quite a while. Mom became his biggest fan.

Just heartbreaking. He made basketball fun, relevant.
Tough few months for LSU. We lost Jerry Stovall, Skip Bertman, and now Dale Brown.

I remember my grandfather always ranted about Coach Dale growing up. As an LSU alum in his 30s I was always bewildered because I would kill to experience the success and run Coach brought LSU when he was here.
RIP to a giant in the LSU community

RIP to an LSU coaching legend, and probably the most approachable, prominent LSU sports figure. Always willing to shake a hand or have a conversation. LSU basketball camp was where it was at!
