Yeah I stand by to this day that 2012 team wins the National Championship with Honey Badger on that team. They went 10-2 in the regular season, you put Honey Badger on that team they either win the Florida game or Bama game if not both and are sitting 12-0, 11-1 with a possible chance at the SEC title game. Of course that team lost to Clemson by a point in its bowl game as well. I think if that team has Honey Badger they beat Bama that year, and would have been 11-1 or 12-0 playing for the SEC title. Win that game, you’re probably playing for a natty that season again.

that is an LSU friendly spin - it is unlikely that LSU would have played for a natty that year even with the HB on the team.

Jalen Mills whiffed on the screen to Yeldon whereas Mathieu would’ve deflected it, picked it off and housed it in the greatest play in Tiger history.

I know this because I visit this alternate reality regularly.

Mett was on fire in the second half of that game. Bama shouldn’t have even got the ball back to have a chance at winning the game

I was responding to a post about the Clemson game. Mett had 129 yards passing and was sacked multiple times that game.

It was fricking working against Clemson. Maybe not against Auburn, Alabama, Florida, or MsSt, but against Clemson, that night, yes

bullshite. He may not have won a Natty, but he was not overated and saying that is trying to a narrative. He won and SEC championship game. He was the real deal, and Miles kicked him off as said because he's ego was to damned big. Hell he should have started him against Tulane and Kentucky in 07 when Flynn could barely run on that bum anckle.

Hell, 08 probably would have only been 2 losses

Biggest thing for me is Lee and Jefferson don't get thrown to the wolves in 08. IMO neither guy lived up to their potential because of 08 lingering in their (and Miles) head.

I bet the AD and compliance office didn't give him a choice but he made it look that way in the media

Umm.......

In his 2nd career Start RP played in place of an injured Matt Flynn in the SEC Champ Game & not only did He / LSU WIN the Game & the SEC Championship, he was named the Games MVP for his stellar play!!

quote:

He completed 20 of 30 passes for 243 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also scored on a two-point conversion run. Perrilloux led the Tigers to a 21–14 win over the Volunteers, and was named the player of the game by CBS Sports.

So does that not qualify as Winning the SEC Championship???

I remember we thought we had it in the bag when Sammy Watkins got hurt the first play. Nuk Hopkins went on to absolutely embarrass Tharold Simon.

With the 09 defense? Our losses were by 10 or less and we had everything but a QB on offense.

Yeah, the 09 team with a QB would have been unstoppable.

And we might have landed a QB in time for 2011 (or the pressure wouldn't have cracked JLee so early).

What might have been, right?

I agree that Miles had us all tricked because I thought he was the most honorable man in college football. This just goes to show how powerful these college football coaches are that they have these powerful institutions covering for them and it wasn't until someone outside the university came forward with the truth. He's definitely a scam artist!

Yeah and everyone freaked out and said how shitty our program was. Then not much later wanted to be like Clemson.

Our fans are a funny bunch.

Or just fricking morons.
