When it comes to clearing a stadium after a team's season just ended and you're dealing with the parents of players who may have just had their careers ended, the correct behavior is to use your fricking brain and maybe have a little empathy.
But if he had a brain he wouldn't be stadium security at a stadium that gets used one week a year.

With lightning visible, the correct behavior is to clear the stadium. That staff doesn’t care that LSU or any other schools season just ended. Their job is to clear the bleachers, tarp the field and go home to do it all over again today. Empathy takes a back seat to common sense. It be one thing if security was kicking the players off the field, but it’s some fathers that can be waiting outside the bus or at the hotel to hug it out.

Can't downvote this enough, the real cop is doing a job he is asked to do and never escalates the situation. He obviously understands the dad's plight and calls for event staff to make the final determination. Guess what, if event staff says no you have to go due to lightning then dad would probably have been arrested and rightfully so. Dad is being a douche, doesn't mean he is always a douche but he is 100% in the wrong here and should apologize. If I were the cop and the dad after being allowed to stay kept going on and started accusing me of threatening him then he would be escorted out no questions asked. Also, rent a cops can't arrest people but Hoover PD can. Yes he's working a detail but that doesn't stop him from being a real cop. Calling him a rent-a-cop is delusional and ignorant.

Parent looks like a douche. Once things calmed down you can hear him say we asked for five minutes. Who the frick cares what you asked for. This isn’t your stadium or event. Entitlement running high in that video.

Dude was probably upset the seasons over and depending on who his kid is that could be the last time he get to see him walk off the field.
Security guard needs to read the room.
They were literally just standing there waiting for the players .
The dad could have been better, and just said get your boss didn't need to play into the security guard.
