Remember when posters were roasted after 2019 for saying 2019 was b/c of Burrow?

Does anyone else disagree now that without Burrow, O gets fired after 2018?

Orgeron was who we thought he was.

It brings me no joy saying that but if you harvested post hire threads/posts they would have predicted all of this.

No consistency because he’s completely reliant on coordinators. Doesn’t have a real idea of a philosophy he wants.

The only positives were recruiting and cheap.

He’s no longer cheap.

No denying it was because of Burrow but it also fit perfectly in what O is good at which is to find the best coaches and players. Doesn’t look like it’s working anymore.

I didn’t realize Cajuns were a mysterious people along the lines of the Egyptians or Ancient Greeks until the orgeron threads. Apparently there was only one man who could understand the culture of south Louisiana and relate.

Damn….so Burrow both provided for the greatest season in LSU history AND saddled LSU with dropping into the depths that will take years to recover from

IDK how to feel

I was anti O as a person could get. He fooled me w 18 and 19. I gave pass in 20. This team is scary bad

Well a huge part of that was even BS b/c Aranda was our DC so O didn't even have to do anything on half the staff

The good news is we have 7 to a guy that doesn’t want to be here and 18 to a LB with no real talent.

He never was good at this. Throwing spaghetti against the wall and hoping some sticks every year is not a philosophy for running a program. I loved that some stuck in 2019, but you can’t sustain a program like this.

It was worth it for 2019 but this love for O needs to die a quick death

No, I don't. I remember everyone being insanely fricking happy we won a national title in such convincing fashion.

he was fine under Aranda, 2 years ago

if we had a competent DC who can coach LBs in a scheme that allows them to play well, he would be a STUD today

Yea but he found burrow and Brady also. He also recruited the 3 WRs, tailbacks, defensive stars etc. Let’s be fair even as I hold him squarely accountable for current state.

O gets some credit for 19. He made the hires and brought em in (exactly like the binder said he would). 20 he failed to do that and we gave him a pass. Its now looking like 20 again. Unless something seriously changes this year (I doubt it will) we now have a large enough sample size... it's time for him to go.

Miles was much better.

The dude hit on every single dc hire outside of malveto and in all honesty got a year or two out of every OC.

Orgeron has made one singular good hire at this point-joe Brady

Burrow wasn't some unheralded guy to find. He was a high-4 star QB who just left Ohio State in a very public QB competition. We were also the only major program going for him. Our competition was Cincinatti.
