re: Remember when posters were roasted after 2019 for saying 2019 was b/c of Burrow?

What’s really insane is that neither Orgeron, nor his OC & DC have ever been coordinators before…. EVER. How does this even come close to the Orgeron coaching model that was promised to the fans.

After going 5-5 last season you would never think any HC would think hiring 2 new green coordinators would be the recipes for winning at the highest level. They both may be good in time but they weren’t what LSU needed at the current time.

A complete failure on Orgerons part and his head coaching career at LSU will go as his 2 new rookie coordinators go.

I remember saying how he would start going downhill once he lost aranda.
Admittedly, i had no idea how steep of a drop that would be

Another thing is aranda gave him some kind of legitimacy.

The national media wanting this to happen

As a rule, I have never been a “fill in the blank” hates LSU guy. But the later years of Miles’ tenure, a lot of media types were clearly making fun of him. (Understandable) Then when we almost fired him, a lot of them lost their shite. When we actually fired him, same thing. Then Mark May melted down at halftime of the A&M game crying about how unfair LSU was to O, when it was Herman’s people that leaked the info in the first place. Even if LSU introduced a coach at halftime of that game so what? O was an INTERIM coach. Then when the rumors became strong that Kiffin might come as OC, I still remember Herbstreit damn near having a panic attack on air. How on earth could Kiffin end up at piddly LSU? That was clearly what he was intimating. Hell I think it was him also crying about the OBJ incident with the cash in the dome.

And again, I’m not saying they hate us, But we’re not a blueblood and the media treatment many times reflects that.

Agreed. It’s not as if O saw something no one else saw.
Wait, how can you say this while agreeing with a post setting we were the only major school going after him?

Burrow wasn't some unheralded guy to find. He was a high-4 star QB

We were also the only major program going for him.
Sounds like there was something I liked that no other majority school did.

We offered him REALLY late in the process. He also clearly wanted to start. There weren't many major teams who would bench their "starter" that late. We were in dire straights with McMillan as our "starter".

But it wasn't really O making that determination, right? Burrow knew Busch who told E, right? Isn't that how it went down?
