The fact that people have argued that O can't coach the defensive line because he's too busy doing other things for our program is one of the funniest things I've heard in years.

2019 was a combination of 3 things

Joe Burrow
Joe Brady
Dave Aranda

All 3 are gone and what we see now is the same thing we saw when Ed was at Ole Miss

Yea but he found burrow and Brady also

Burrow found LSU, and through his connection to Busch, and his connection to Aranda, made it happen.

E found Brady because Carmichael got diarrhea

By the time Woodward got here the velcro had lost that fresh crackling sound. It was only a matter of time

Can we stop with this BS.

How many coaches has Ed hired? Out of all of them only Brady was worth a damn. Aranda was a holdover not hired by Ed

And he clearly Downey bring in the best players either. O line is abysmal, LB and safety are no better.

He cannot evaluate and hire coaching talent and he is incredibly overrated as a recruiter.

Derek tries to replace the velcro, but can't, and then doesn't want to spend the coin on a new-old-stock binder on Ebay. Sad.

McMillan? I think more than likely you’re looking at Brennan. He’s the one who played a bit when Etling was there. Also, if you don’t get Burrow, you get another, albeit lesser, transfer Qb.

That’s the thing. He doesn’t have a blue print.

If he did he could replicate his success from 2019. maybe not to that level but if to err was a blue print we wound not be this bad this soon after winning

Ed is 15-10 at LSU.

Is that acceptable?

He never had a blueprint.

Burrow winding up here was the perfect set circumstances aligning, we needed a starting QB in the worst way, Burrow needed to start in the worst way, and we had someone in the staff that knew the family. Any one of those doesn't happen and Burrow ends up elsewhere, and we're already 3 years into the next coach's tenure.

I remember being ridiculed for submitting that O wasn’t responsible for Brady or Burrow.

Canada wanted Brennan but it was pretty clear that McMillan was a quarterback over Brennan under E

Even if he can or could, I just don’t see established up and comers coming here because they will quickly recognize he has no plan, no overarching philosophy, and that a bomb of a season could derail what they already have going. He has to take flyers on guys needing a break and nothing to lose (Brady, Jones, Peetz) or retreads (Pelini, Linehan). It’s a crapshoot and a losing proposition long term.

The only good hire (on paper) was Canada regardless of how it worked out. Not sure how he was convinced to come here either.
