You asked when the last time was, so I answered your question. Baket Mayfield is a very recent and pretty convincing example. Just admit you don't know what you're talking about.

My post said I didn't know, so I don't know what to tell you? I didn't know BM was a walk on, but my point was that I don't think itnhaporns very often and your example of one just reinforces what I said.

Learn to google before you ask a stupid question then double down when someone answers your question. Just a quick look around an I found Clay Mathews, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown, and JJ Watt.

But since your question was

When's the last time a walk on actually helped a team? I honestly don't know...
, the correct answer was Baker Mayfield.

It wouldn't surprise me to see LSU in that uncanny position

Baker Mayfield says hello. Won a little trophy or something.

Any of our WR's play QB in HS? Any big enough to run a wildcat?

Did you say Wildcat?... Jontre Kirklin says HELLO

Isn't Kirklin one of our top 4 cornerbacks? Probably not a good idea to pull him away from that (though he did look like he could do the job from the video).

I was hoping for a WR because we seem to have a bunch of them.

One of the most amazing things about Mayfieldwalking on at Oklahoma is that he just
showed up there as a regular student. Did not talk to anyone on the coaching
staff till he was already enrolled.

Wasn't the OP talking about QB? My point was that we shouldn't expect too much because rarely does a walk on QB play any meaningful downs.

Memo to “Chicken Littles,” Burrow and Brennan beat out other two QB’s. That’s why they transferred. We were not going to win with QB 3 or QB 4.

So maybe next time just say what you mean.

But you can add Brandon Weeden and Colt Brennan to your list of QB Walton’s that had an impact.

Do you really think anyone, including the OP, thinks it’s likely? Of course not, it’s the exception.
