After 12 seasons, La Tech has released their head baseball coach.
1) Maybe they will now get back on the LSU schedule in future seasons.
2) Hopefully Alan Dunn is not on their interview list.
3) Maybe Javi is on their interview list.
Edited to add link:

I just emailed javi's resume to their AD. Unfortunately stats had to stop at 2013 because I didn't think it would be ethical to put 2014 incomplete stats on there.

If Dunn leaves it will be for Bama or another SEC or big time program.
For Javi, that would be a good stepping stone for him.
Wonder if Tulane job will come open or not?

And, yes, I know he is an Alabama alum.

I'd imagine he would chuckle and hang up

True or are you joking?
Didn't their interim coach have a decent record after Jones started his leave?

They only hire coaches with famous parents
Jack Bicknell Jr.-Jack Bicknell
Derek Dooley - Vince Dooley
Sonny Dykes- Spike Dykes
Skip Holtz- Lou Holtz
Tyler Summit- Pat Summit
Mike White- father is Duke's AD.
They'll likely go hire the son of Florida State's head coach Mike Martin Jr.

Seriously. And no they didn't do much of anything under the interim coach.

Okay, thanks. I was under the impression they played about .500 ball after the interim coach took over but I didn't follow them closely.

Dunn's already well above the La Tech level.

I agree he is but many athletic directors at big programs won't take a chance on a coach with no head coaching experience.

Speaking to a greenie friend high up in the UpTown New Orleans crowd, he says Jones is gone & they are going to have a nation wide search. He said they are willing to pay good money as their baseball program is the only money maker. Doubt Javi would make the cut. Dunn makes too much money now & has a dream job for not being a HC. He can be patient & wait for an SEC job to open up.
