Talent had nothing to do with why LSU lost to Troy.

What was it then?

Pretty sure we still have the same head coach if it was that.

The LSU talent is there, but I will be a skeptic until I see better coaching. The loss to ND in the bowl game was due to being out-coached, pure and simple.

IMO, it was the entire coaching staff. They got outcoached and didn't have their team ready to play.

Which is why I'm skeptical, but hopeful the new coaches are gonna get it together. I believe if Orgeron can get back to the more aggressive, loose coach that he was in '16 that this team can be successful. Only time will tell.

2018 and one thing we all do as we move through life is to use what happened in the past to gauge our hopes for the future.

This is June 22nd and for my concerns with the weather that is all I need to know. It's going to be dam hot today with a chance of a afternoon thunder storms.

But with people it is not that easy - I got divorced in 1983 and I can tell you now the mother of my older 3 children is not the same person she was back then. I can also tell you that I am not the jerk I was back in 1983.

With time people change and with football teams they change. LSU and the Saints my 2 favorite football teams will not be the same as they take the field in 2018. With a new coach you don't have what we had with Les after 6 or 7 seasons - you kind of knew what was going to happen.

CEO was a bad football coach at OLE MISS and I would have never hired CEO to be my coach. Joe did and that is on Joe.

CEO did not have the team ready to play MSU or Troy in 2017 and that is a fact. If he comes out of the gate as he did in 2017 his odds of having a 4th year as the coach of LSU go way down.

What I am sure of is that ED understands this and what I see since the end of the 2017 season is that he has done what he sees he needed to do to get better.

The Miami game will show case the changes he has made and until he wins - MSU and Troy- games will haunt this program.

We beat Miami who might be a top 10 team when we play them and Auburn which will be a top 10 team - we win the first 3 games no one will be talking about the Troy game.

Watch our offense will be abysmal like the last few years

Miami has possibly 3 first rounders on their team. People are sleeping on Miami. Hopefully we could out like we did against Oregon in 2011

I'm not sure it's even possible to make an educated guess about this offense. It's a complete unknown at this point.

100% agree with the rest though.

sounds like you are sleeping on LSU

why do you see Miami beating LSU?

You really don't see this D being special even with your other concerns

Our D is always special. We lost to Wisconsin with a great D that scored 14 points that game with T white INT's. Offense is a ? Mark like always

Not setting myself up for disappointment again. I'll just hope for the best and expect the worst until they show me otherwise

People are going to say that's being a "negatiger" (dumbest term on the board). But, it's the reality of the situation.

I expect to see a top 5 D open against Miami and like I said - this one point should be enough to win the game - a passing game with good balance with a rushing attack gives LSU a 17 point win

Pump the brakes bro. You're underestimating Miami by a lot. The game will be close. A top 5 D keeps the team in it when you have an unproven offense. C'mon

Getting 2 starters from other schools

Burrow and Alexander were not starters at other schools. Alexander played but did not start and was not a big contributor in 3 years.

bragging ?

fact that we got seasoned transfers to start vs raw freshmen

you build on your recruiting class but 3 to 5 seasoned vets coming in help

If you think otherwise you have that right
