Realistic chance to finish with 18 wins this year & in the NIT

The team looks like dog shite right now, but people who actually looked at this team and made an honest preseason prediction thought being in the hunt for an NIT bid should be the expectation for this team.
I expected us to be 2-4 to start SEC play. We are 1-5. Arkansas is worse than expected, A&M is much better than expected. Florida was an expected win, but we lost.
Currently we are 12-6. There are 6 games remaining that we have a good chance to win. There are a few others that we can win but I don't think we will win. None of the teams below are good and we have a good chance to win.

02/18vsSouth Carolina
02/22vsVanderbilt
02/25@Ole Miss
03/01vsMissouri
We’ll get blown out a few more times, but win those and we’ll have 18 wins, 6-12 in the SEC and probably in the NIT.
Keep in mind we were 9-9 in the SEC last year. If you didn’t expect at least a 3 game drop from last year I don’t know what to tell you.

LSU currently - NET 122, KenPom 106. That is really bad. I'm not sure they can make up enough ground to get into the NIT. South Carolina is probably the only game left that LSU will be favored to win.

Nope. This isn't 1994 anymore. The NIT actually uses NET and has a ton of automatic bids. Our NET probably won't be in the top 100 by the time all is said and done.
Edit: Last year, the lowest NET team to make the NIT as an at-large was Belmont at 79

I think that we are most likely to win between 2 to 4 games before the SEC tournament. We will probably miss the NIT if that is the case.

I can see the Tigers winning home games vs Texas Tech, South Carolina and Vandy. They may be favored in these games.
We won't beat Missouri. They're pretty solid and beat Arkansas last night at home. Also Georgia is a surprise team this year.

Missouri is Arkansas’ only win in conference play. Georgia beat Auburn, but that’s their only good win. Definitely beatable.
