I like how “outside the box” is code for raising 800 million dollars.

It’d be cool if lsu stopped overpaying every single fricking coach and used our bounty to facilities and actual fan enjoyment. The fact even Beth Torina held us over a barrel is absolute insanity lmao

very few good success stories of teams playing farm off campus and getting good support.

Norman is looking at this as an investment in an event center. BE has the Canes Center.

Very cool. Only thing that I wouldn't be a fan of for LSU is that this seems pretty far from Oklahoma's campus.

Not an OU fan, but live in the area. Their current arena isn't really "on campus" either. But one of the reasons for that spot is because it is easy access and closer for OKC folks to get to. They've had attendance issues in bball so I'm sure they'd like to make it as easy as possible for folks to attend.

This location shortens the trip from 30-45 mins from OKC to 15-30 mins. And you'll still get the Norman townies.

Unrelated but I was just looking at the aerial of OUs campus and at their current arena....Holy shite the parking. Look at all that parking.

If it’s not part of the campus I’m not interested

That seems like a no brainer and if they can actually pull off the entertainment district idea it could pull in concerts and other events that will fill the arena more than MBB/WBB/VB/GYM etc.

Doesn't seem possible for us.

Scott Woodward in his pregame interview this weekend said that he spends most of his time focusing on finding NIL money, not facility money now.

He said he would prefer to build a new basketball facility but he asked where is the money going to come from?

They aren't even moving the bullpens off the field for baseball until 2025 now.

Love the bullpens on the field. So old school. My season tickets were front row at the home bullpen for a few years.
