Just because of my age, Warren walk off game was the greatest, but the overall season and run of 2023 is probably my favorite. To sit comfortably virtually the entire championship final game and drink and laugh and watch some of these guys thrive in their final game as a tiger was special.

the 3 wildest finishes were obviously

96-last at bat to win

2000-last at bat to win it

non title CWS game

LBS-93- last at bat to win it.

those 3 games are legendary

1991 was amazing. I was in a Gainesville tavern just off the UF campus. Regular season. LSU beat UF. I went wild. Buddy reminded me yesterday I nearly got us killed (exaggeration).

1997 was at a wedding. Missed the walk-off. Good friend was marrying David Eckstein's sister. David was the one who told me of the walk-off. UF had lost and he flew back for the wedding.

2009 watched so many games with my wife (who passed 3 years ago). Though she was a UF fan, she also loved LSU baseball. We watched LSU super regionals in Vegas on our honeymoon in 93. We are both from Lafayette/Carencro. She really was a fan of Mikey Mahtook. I miss her, but she would be celebrating this win!

1- 1991 - You always remember your first. I was a wide eyed 13 yr old LSU super fan that thought winning a natty in anything was a pipe dream.

2- 2023 - The resurgence of the program under a couple of generational players.

3- 1996 - Warren's walk-off - screamed like a girl

4- 2000 - Cresse walk off - Skips last one

5- 2009 - The First one under the new 3 game format. Last one in the old Johnny Rose.

For me its :

1. 1996 - The first year I really paid attention my dad and I Jumped into the pool immediately after. Was one of the best memories I have.
2. 2023 - Speaks for itself
3. 1997 - This year was just special with all those HRs.
4. 2009 - Brought back the magic
5. 2000 - listened to this game in an empty house with only the radio because we were moving into our new house.
T6. 1993 & 1991 - I was too young I wasn't paying attention yet.

09 - I was there
96 - First one I remember and the Morris walk off was great
00 - Was 16 so that was a great time in HS watching it.
23 - Old enough to fully appreciate it
97 - Second one I remember
93 & 91 I was too young to remember

My first memories of LSU baseball are listening to the 1989 A&M regional when they came out of the loser's bracket and beat no. 1 Aggy twice to reach Omaha. Pat Garrity TYFYS

3- 1996 - Warren's walk-off - screamed like a girl
Everyone remembers Morris's homer but not him throwing out a guy at the plate or Ray Wright robbing Miami of a homer. Also, I was with friends at a party in Ocean Springs and the place just went bananas. Hit my head on a ceiling fan (low ceiling). Will never forget that as long as I live.

7- 1993 - The Long Beach State comeback. Came back out of the losers bracket.
Brett Laxton FTW and this was my senior year.

1- 1991 - You always remember your first. I was a wide eyed 13 yr old LSU super fan that thought winning a natty in anything was a pipe dream.
I was on the Reveille sports staff and got to watch a lot of baseball that year. It was awesome. Listened to it on the radio in my Oakbrook apartment.

2- 2023 - The resurgence of the program under a couple of generational players.
So rewarding to see LSU return to the pinnacle. As GOATed as Crews and Skenes are, it was phenomenal to see literally the entire team contribute in the final game. Everyone had a hit, had an RBI, and scored a run. What a stat!
quote:

4- 2000 - Cresse walk off - Skips last one
Cresse drove me crazy because he was such a dead pull hitter, and after he struggled that CWS he finally pulled one in the right spot.

5- 2009 - The First one under the new 3 game format. Last one in the old Johnny Rose.
Louis Coleman was FILTHY.
quote:

6- 1997 - Blanking Bama in the title game after losing to them 28-2 earlier that year
Four nattys in seven years cementing LSU as the premier baseball program.

Was thinking of Louis Coleman, another guy with crazy movement on his pitches, who closed out the final game.

2000 is #1 for me just because I was there.

1996 - such an iconic ending.

Not going to rank them because I loved them all. Kinda like ranking your kids (actually the kids are easier to rank).

1997, I wasn't in Omaha but I was at the game in Tuscaloosa for the 28-2 loss .

Speaking of championships, who has this shirt and needs an update?

Most amazing lsu game I have ever watched. Warren hitting a home run never crossed my mind. In that moment I just wanted him to get on base.

I started LSU right after they won in 2009. I was a fan, but not a homer yet. I was way too young for the first five.

This 2023 means the most to me by a lot. Same reason the 2019 football title means so much more than 2007 and 2003 for me.

Agreeing with you when I say that Doug Thompson nailed it on the broadcast that to win the championship your stars need to star but the “little guys” have to be clutch when it matters. I do remember Ray Wright leaping into the crowd to steal back the home run. Armando Rios’ double off the wall, smaller moments are etched in my memory as Will the image of Milazzo tagging out the fully horizontal Wake player diving for the plate. Think about that catch Pearson (9-hole hitter) made AND he hit a 2-run bomb in THE championship game - unreal! I wish Cade Beloso had won the CWS MVP. Skenes just did what he does - Cade stepped up at the big moment(s)

It's tough to rank. I'd probably say 2009, because I was enrolled at LSU and attended that Super Regional, along with many other games.

The first one was special for obvious reasons. I was also a 13 year old boy with high hopes for my Tigers!

They're each unique in their own ways.

1991 is first for me only because my cousin, Chad Ogea, won that game.
The one last night is a close second.
1996 close to number two, well, because Warren.
1993 was pretty damn cool. The rest just kind of made me really happy to be a Tiger fan.

Honestly, I think 2023 could easily have an argument for any of LSU's best championships when you consider the adversity and how many 1 plays it's over for LSU could've went the other way. It's simply amazing everyone on this team played their role and there was no single hero despite having 2 generational players.

We all know the legendary plays in the past but this Omaha had tons of framed legendary moments from LSU that will never be forgotten. It was like destiny and storybook it had to be this way. The only thing that could've ended this season better was a Crew's Missile to end the game.

I don't remember 91 or 93, so I'll go with this:

1. 2023 - what is there to say that hasn't been said. We're back. Possibly the most fun I've ever had watching a sports season.
2. 2000 - first championship season where I truly had an in depth knowledge of the game and the players
3. 1996 - obvious
4. 2009 - was in college so this was incredible
5. 1997
