Especially considering we now run spread/tempo. Really screws with momentum + with that philosophy.
CBS primetime game could easily run like 4.5 hours with enough scoring lol.

One of the local shows talked to a football staffer that was a GA at Bama a few years ago. The staffer said Saban has someone monitoring all the times anyone from LSU mentions Bama and then puts together a highlight video to show the team before the game to show them how much this game means to LSU. They literally use our obsession to motivate themselves.

I don’t think CBS will allow it. Why should they? It would hurt them on the GA-ND game. I believe CBS has the choice here and it will stay like it is.

They are and we play at 2:30. Espn will have to pay a lot of money but I don’t think cbs will give up that game especially with LSU having a offense now.

Why on earth would CBS give up this game? If anything, its CBS is trying to get it on primetime like they did in 2011.
I don't see how ESPN is even involved here. CBS opted not to use their prime time game on it but they've still got first choice for SEC game of the week at 2:30.

Hard to believe how all those epic Tennessee vs Florida games mid to late 90’s - early 2000’s were by far and away 2:30 CBS games. How times have changed.

Do you really think the time of the game had anything to do with the result? I can't get on board with that. LSU just played a primetime game in the game of the week and looked fantastic.

The game could be at 3 in the morning. If both teams are undefeated, the hype is going to be out of control. It's no different than if LSU makes it to a playoff game. If these guys can't handle a playing in a big game like that then they won't get where they want to be.
