Lol at the LSU fans who want to win by sneaking by them. Did none of y’all play sports as kids? Dream for the big moment and win the damn thing. Don’t pray you catch them off guard at an 11 am kickoff. Where’s y’alls competitive spirit?

One of LSU's selling points in recruiting is that the play in the biggest games. I don't see the point in backing away from that now when we finally have the offense to compete with anyone.

LSU just played a primetime game in the game of the week and looked fantastic.

Against Alabama?

If it’s Prime-time it does take on a bigger feel and focus. GameDay will probably be there it just seems like it gets Bama more hyped. If it was up to me I’d play it at 11 and we’d wear purple jerseys

I want it night and post gamewinning touchdown I want Borrow to spike ball that bounces to lights and breaks them like the scene in the Natural.

I want Maria Taylor ask him if he the best there is or ever we'll be and hear the media cry about humbliness when he says yes

Would you tuck your shlong like a tranny and wear sun dress to game?

I don't get why the opponent makes the primetime game of the week a different story. The hype for the game and the pressure is going to be the same whether it's at 11, 2:30 or night time. Bama isn't going to be less ready to play during the day than they would be at night.

If it's a top 5 matchup Gameday is going to be there regardless. Gameday was in Austin and LSU won. I don't understand the difference.

The playoffs are the big moment and if we beat them by catching them off guard it’s still a win. I don’t see them apologizing for beating Texas without McCoy

I’m sure it would be devastating for recruiting if we played them in their stadium at 230 and no one would watch

The game time matters for your point, but not for mine? Come on man, you're smarter than this. The time of the game doesn't have any impact on the outcome. These guys are used to pressure situations. We have a lot of good leadership on this team.

You don’t get why Alabama is different from Texas?

I disagree about the hype and so do you otherwise you wouldn’t be arguing in favor of prime time, it makes it a bigger deal it just does. Of course they’ll be ready to play regardless. Besides I’d rather all our road games be during the day (except like Texas where it’s unbearably hot), frees up my Saturday night

I like LSU being involved in the game of the week and I prefer the better commentators. Primetime just carries more prestige IMO. I get the personal reasons for wanting it during the day. I like being able to watch the other marquee games as well. I just don't think the time of the game has any bearing on the outcome. Saban is going to have his guys ready to play and LSU just showed it's ready for prime time.

After seeing the 8.63M viewer draw for LSUvUT, I guarantee you CBS execs + Disney/ABC/ESPN execs are negotiating for the rights to LSUvBama with a full intention of it being a primetime slot.
Take that to the bank.

I want this as a day game. Night games have turned that day into a 3-ring circus.

CBS commercials are out of control

They really need to find a way (or even be FORCED BY THE CONFERENCE) to restructure the pacing of their broadcasts. Saturday night actually flowed like a football game is supposed to flow. CBS games are like watching multiple two minute snippets of a game. There’s now way the conference shouldn’t have the clout to make them cut that stupid assed shite and give us back an actual football game the way it should be logically paced.

Of course the time doesn’t have any bearing on the outcome, I’m not arguing that, but I do think being in prime time increases the magnitude and until we stop getting our pants pulled down by them I’d just as soon that game be played in the afternoon.

No way CBS gives this game up even with the prime time issue.
CBS will likely make a deal with ESPN to have it at night with some strong concessions on future scheduling.

Exactly. CBS would be crazy to give this up under any conditions

CBS is going make ESPN empty the bag for that game

And ESPN will empty that bag you can bet your arse! CBS can have Georgia vs Notre Dame!

I don’t think CBS will allow it. Why should they? It would hurt them on the GA-ND game. I believe CBS has the choice here and it will stay like it is.

You have plenty enough college football fans that will tune into both games equally. This won't be a problem and CBS can name their price and again, ESPN will gladly pay it. This game won't be on at 2:30 on CBS.

The LSU players get this insurmountable mountain while the bama guys get extra motivation. And the thought is if it was just the normal 230 cbs game it would hide out like a regular week.

If you think a difference of 3-4 hours and cable channels matter to a bunch of 20 year olds, I got some oceanfront property in AZ for ya
