What is everybody’s general thoughts about Pickett’s career so far? Has he lived up to your expectations? Succeeded them?

Not a bash at all. Was just sitting here discussing former great defensive backs and we got on the subject of Pickett.

Personally, I believe his length will take his career very far in the NFL, especially defenses who use press-man coverage type schemes.

What former great tiger do you most compared him to?

Not into criticizing our players but our DBs looked weak (including Pickett) vs OM.

The best thing you can say about a DB is nothing at all. If you’re not hearing about DJ5, he’s probably doing his job.

Will probably be unfairly viewed given his insanely high recruiting rankings and lack of highlight reel plays to date in his career, but as the other poster said, if you aren’t hearing his name much as a corner, he’s doing his job.

I’d say A- so far bc of a few penalties. Easily our best cover corner and will be a first or second team SEC selection by year end so hard to argue.

He adds in a couple more INTs and he’ll start getting the recognition.

Exactly.
Teams haven’t gone his way very often so his interceptions are gonna be down.

Rashard Robinson would also like a word.

It wasn't completely their faults. We played way too much soft zone coverage in the first half.

It was Rashard Robinson that shut Mike down not Simon

WTH?

Dude. NO ONE goes his way on a consistent basis.

He’s a lock 1st round pick. Watch how many times he’s targeted per game. Coaches know. Case closed.

Any indication why DJ5 (sorry JD5) and PJ aren't playing more press man coverage? I thought that Blake was going to do that to free up an extra player or two to be available for spying on Chambliss. But I didn't see much press man as we were 7-10 yards off and backpedaling immediately at snap most of that game and aTm.
