looks like UF is potentially the lead for him right now.
Well, it was said with a qualifier, and could be just coach speak; but Mullen said yesterday in a 247 article that UF is not interested in a grad transfer qb at this time. So there is that.

Maybe the guy just wants to get on the field - nothing more, nothing less. In which case, LSU could be a good landing spot for him.
It could be, so could Florida. They probably have less talent at QB than we do honestly.

Yeah, I may be underestimating the damage Bucktooth did while he was there.

Not trying to defend O, but LSU fans are the most reactionary fans in all of sports.

Why is that? We have a stacked WR core and a job there for the taking.

Without personally doing much research, over the years Meyer has gone with the more athletic DT QB, and Burrow looks to be more pro style.
Actually the opposite is true, Burrow is a good runner.
Ohio State will be running more traditional passing concepts with Haskins.

Coach Orgeron has one extra scholarship to hand out and QB is a top option
Wait, that could count for this season?

I love when people just say shite like this and pretend its true. Go look on basically any team's forum or listen to local sports talk following losses, you'll see similar shite every where. It is not a trait unique to LSU fans

he'll never be ready in time.

Florida has an actual QB coach

But a head coach that will treat you as a running back
Tyler Russel the QB before Dak was a pro style QB. He had 43 rushing attempts for -5 yards in 13 games in 2012 season.
Mullen didn't recruit or sign Russell but he is a smart enough OC to adapt his offense to his QB skill set.

Not only is he immediately eligible, he has TWO years of eligibility.

see no reason why our coaches shouldn’t be in his ear showing him how stacked we are at wideout
Honest question...why should we assume this guy is any good? High school stats? We have those on our team now.
Yes, I understand that Meyer can coach up QBs....but knowing that, this guy couldn't play after 4 years there.
I just think it sends the wrong message to recruits and the current team, if O goes hard after him.

I thought O was stupid for not giving out all of the available scholarships in February. At least that is what the rant told me.

He was neck and neck with Haskins at Ohio State for the starting job according to Buckeye fans, and Haskins will be really good. The thought was though Haskins is just slightly ahead so Burrow went ahead and pulled the trigger to transfer because if HAskins starts he'd never play sans injury to Haskins.

No way this dude comes to LSU

neither could beat out JT Barrett that went undrafted in the NFL draft of which Danny Etling got drafted. LSU is screwed no matters whats.

Why on earth would I choose to play for ED ORGERON and his dinosaur OC over DAN MULLEN, who has a clear track record of qb development?

This makes no sense.
JT Barrett had a very good career, regardless of where his pro prospects were. He had a 160 QB rating with 3000 pass yards, 35 TD to 9 INT completing 65% of his passes this past season and added almost 800 yards and 13 TD on the ground. He was also a senior, while Burrow and Haskins were a sophomore and freshman respectively. Barrett also started all his junior season...and some his sophomore season.
What makes you think either Haskins or Burrow SHOULD have beat out a guy who was playing very well as a senior?

Why go to a team with a returning starter?

Mullen runs a similar system to Ohio St. Maybe he wants more of a pocket passing offense.
