Like I said on here yesterday, people are sleeping on this as a possibility for LSU.

He's a dual threat QB.
Dan Mullen has coached Tebow, Dak, and Fitzgerald and made them into very, very good college QBs.

We have a stacked WR core
I mean, Giles is the only one that is even sort of proven. Sure, there is loads of potential, but to automatically refer to the WR corps as "stacked" is a tad bit premature IMHO. Add in the uncertainty with hiring Ensminger and UF having Mullen, I don't think it's too absurd to think UF would be a safer landing spot. Now, if he purely just wants to get on the field, LSU is a solid option.

Here's the thing: our current QB situation could potentially be a disaster, Orgeron scrambles to bring in a grad transfer, to be coached by no one, and THAT could be a disaster. Not cheering for LSU to lose, but this could be the circus that scoots Ed out of town.
For all of his talk about a plan and vision, he seems to be uber reactionary and I feel it's really going to blow up in his face.

247 lists him as pro style.
ETA Rivals has him as DT. So whatever.

O has put his future on 'Slinger being the guy. I don't think he would do this if E didn't agree with it.

If he’s better than our qb’s go get him and worry about transfers later

I'm pretty sure at any point, Ed will get what Ed wants.

So are Tebow, Manziel, Fitzgerald, Shea Patterson, etc.
All those guys can run very well.

Easier transition.
Dan Mullen’s offense is more similar to Urban Meyers.
Also Mullen has a better reputation as a QB developer.

plus he'd go into UF already being somewhat familiar with the offense, I'd imagine a lot of the language is similar.
whereas here he'd have to learn....well whatever it is the frick our offense is

Ding ding ding
But different players have different motivations. Maybe the guy just wants to get on the field - nothing more, nothing less. In which case, LSU could be a good landing spot for him.

He is the head coach. But if E isn't the answer, then Ed won't be in his job for long.
