I think this is all Nuss’s fault. I’m starting to wonder if he’s a selfish player.

He sat behind a QB for 2 years instead of transferring, and you think he's selfish. Get a handle on yourself.

Yes, we need a QB who is an alpha, like Burrow and Daniels. Nuss is terrified to make the right play (run when it is WIDE open).

This team needs a LEADER at QB, not someone who is scared to get hit.

This has nothing to do with how he plays right now.

Remember in 2022, It seemed like Jayden had a brain block or something, because he’d never throw over the middle? I think Nuss has that when it comes to running the ball. He’s not a burner by any means, but he has decent enough speed to keep defenses honest.

Dumb. Bad pocket passers are a losing strategy.

Nuss was just really bad last night.

Except for the last 6 national championship games

Outside Mac Jones:

Lawrence - 585 yards
Burrow - 368,
Bennet ran for 500 over 2 seasons
McCarthy 203

8 games in Nuss has 13 yards, so he’s on pace for 25 yards. Pathetic.

You seem confused by dual threat vs the ability to make a play with your feet when nothing is available.

Nuss refuses to do that and forces a bad throw

Yeah guys… all we need is a Heisman willing quarterback. We should have one of those every year. It’s so simple. /s

Nuss will do anything to avoid contact. Every hit he takes in every game he comes up limping. Unfortunately we don’t know of any undisclosed injuries. But there’s something to be said about just being a football player. His pathetic attempt (most unathletic play from an LSU player that I can remember) at trying to make the tackle after throwing his first INT solidified it for me that he avoids contact at all costs.

Running for 17 yards per game like the ones you mentioned doesn’t make someone a dual threat

Those guys were fairly hesitant and made bad decisions during their first year at LSU.

Nuss needs another year.

Well , we have Tom Brady and Joe Burrow and Jared Goff ( whom you could time in the 40 with a sundial ) and Matthew Stafford . You can be a pocket passer . You just have to take what the defense gives you , not force the ball and if you have to run , you run . The other week Burrow ran over 19mph for a touchdown against Cleveland . He even dove at the pylon . Now , Nussykins wont do that .

I was about to post the same thing! I don’t like saying never, but I think the chance are slim to none that you will ever see another championship team that doesn’t have a dual threat QB. Your QB has got to be willing and able to take advantage of the open running lanes when they are given to him. Unfortunately for us, Nuss is either too stubborn or scared to tuck the ball and run.

Yes, but they were NOT AFRAID to run the ball or get blasted. They also took charge from day 1 and provided leadership and toughness.

Nuss doesn't seem to have either at this point, he is chickenshit to run when it is the right play. Not many scrambles or keepers on the read option.

JD and JB may have had their faults, but NO ONE questioned their toughness.

He doesn't need to be a dual threat QB? He just needs to be a threat to occasionally run it.

I am just asking for someone who isn't chickenshit like Nuss is becoming. I'd rather a guy who makes a few mistakes and shows the team toughness than this crap. Sloan is also to blame with his putrid playcalling and game planning.

I get it he's not a runner and get it he should run just a bit when opportunity presents itself. However he laid 21 out for medical attention while gaining a 1st down lowering his shoulder.

Eh I actually disagree. But a pocket passing QB added by literally 0 running game? Yea, you’re fricked.

Name 1 qb in the NFL that won't run it.

There's a diff between a qb that is a pocket passer vs a qb that simply refuses to run it.
