Plenty of internet stories out there that gave out the chicken man's real name. He didn't expose anything that wasn't already known.

If Chikn PM’d me that I only had 100 upvotes to give max account life, I’d dump them all here and create an alter for more.
Thanks for the share and best fortune to Hayes.

I’m with you (as a proud parent), #47…son will go through his redshirt freshman year at UF this fall. For all the talk of how NIL and the portal have ruined the game…I just don’t see it. The level of commitment from everyone my son lives with and practices with is off the charts. They’re in camp now, living in a dorm with tiny beds for two weeks, grinding every day.
He showed up June 1st and already looks different. He has to make a target weight every Friday. They get meals three times a day in two hour blocks. Boy goes at the beginning and the end and does two meals each time if possible…but definitely for lunch. Smoothies all day, and he gets his own blend.
At the facility every day except Sunday.
Currently renting rooms for away games…got LSU, Ole Miss, and UGA in Jacksonville. Probably go to the first home game at UF…not sure how many others we’ll make since he’s not starting. Maybe toward the end of the season he’ll see action though. Who knows?
Was very smart for your boy to PWO at LSU…the amount of physical, mental, and technical growth he’ll achieve is unmatched with the SEC. I wish him the best and Geaux Tigers!

Congratulations on your son

It's really sumin how even he could feel small at 6'6 300. I was 6'1 280 when I went to Troy to play o line as a walk on and it was the first time I'd felt small in my life. The typical college level offensive lineman are like ogres at 6'6 300.
Also, let's go Rebels!! Man I miss going to Rebel games, especially in the super dome lol

You are correct sir! It is very regimented and LSU is wanting and trying to keep these kids laser focused. We tend to forget they are still just 18-23 year old kids for most part with girlfriends and families they miss. They have so many benefits as players but with that comes the pressure, the demands and the expectations to excel. The physical and mental parts are extremely taxing. These players are getting broken down by the coaching staff in preparation for the season to see what they can handle. You have to be strong in all areas and get back up after being knocked down. You are being tested in your abilities to take the verbal and the physical punishment and respond in a positive way. It’s a great precursor for life and everything that gets thrown your way for sure. They are staying now in a hotel somewhere with supposedly no phone calls allowed, receiving a few texts. Ramos is one of his roommates back at dorm. You can relate. You will not find Hayes on any depth chart, he just has to keep grinding, learning the playbook like a sponge. They equip them with all the technology and tools for that. Glad he’s one of the 105 but much work still to be done. He understands that.

Best of luck to your son and thank you for sharing a little inside perspective on the team with us

UF takes the top 2 players in each position and puts them on the leadership council, they separate them into two teams with some 1s and some 2s. If my son is late or misses weight, or gets really any infraction like missing study hall, not signing in for a meal or not reach your max goal in a lift, his whole team has to show up at 6 am for an addition run or workout. One get-of-jail card…and he’s already used it.
Talk about pissing some big nasty fellas off. He has backup alarms and shows up early for everything. That sort of accountability is military-esque, and really unparalleled for a freshman in college outside of football. Really has seemed to snap him out of that goofy personality he went in with. If they make it through this challenge they will be ready for life…whether the NFL is the cards or not. I am very proud that he earned his way into this opportunity…though I know he didn’t have any idea what he was getting into.
I’m happy to simply be able to be loving support now…I needed hard parenting until my early 20s.

Who TF would downvote this post?
I guess there might be a few Clemson fans lurking. Go (LSU) Tigers!

He had a great Sr year, Was a team captain at West Monroe as we originally were from Ruston, kind of like outsiders moving over.
Why’d he transfer from Ruston to WM?
